I have 15 Multec injectors,
I lost one someplace.
They all test at 16.2-16.4.
Are they worth hanging onto?
I'm switching to the 2nd design
Bosch.

I heard those injectors suck and they are non-servicable/nobody wants to mess with them beacuse their fail rate is so high.

If they are working fine there is no good reason not to keep them or sell them. Have them ultra-sonic cleaned.

the truth lies between what blackvette said and what casey said.

the multecs are fine pieces, but they fail... and do so with a thud.

I would off load them, myself.

If I had them, I would sell them with the warning of there high failure rate posted in the ad. You might want to keep them for spares in case your next injectors go out early.

I've got a 3 year warranty
on the bosch units I just
bought. I currently have the
Ford pinktop injectors in there
now but they are so darn
noisy. I chased a ticking sound
for months, thinking I was
getting a rocker set wrong.
When I found out it wasn't a rocker
I checked header gaskets. They
were good too so it was then traced
to the injectors. The pinktops work
great but my car sounds like
it's got a solid lifter cam in it. I will
either sell the pinktops or the
Multecs, not sure yet.
Thanks for the tips.

What do people recommend for an injector that is both reliable and quiet in the 30-36LB range?

Ford SVO Injectors. I think thats what they are called.

*Heard* Accell injectors are prone to failure.

So the SVT injectors are not the pink tops that Midnight mentions? Are they SVT as in SVT Cobra or the Ford Racing injectors (could be the same thing for all I know)? I've been looking at the Ford Racing 30# injectors, pn M-9593-B302.

I notice the pricing for these injectors is all over the place- MSRP from Ford Racing is $239 (link), but most vendors charge upwards of $300 for them.

Sorry I had SVT Cobra on my mind when I posted that. They are called the SVO but I will double check on that. I don't know much about injectors except what I read which is just what others say. I have stock injectors so you better wait for personal experience or someone more knowledgable. I have no idea what the OP has. I thought he said he had Bosch. Multechs are stock injectors. I just heard they fail but that is as far as my knowledge goes on those as well. Accel has a bad rep but again I have no experience. Ford SVO are suppose to be good but as for quiet I don't know. I am thinking the ticking I am hearing are from my injectors and I posted a thread about it trying to get a answer....Did you check Summit for them? ?

Edit: PM bogus. He posted in my other thread so he could probably give you better info.

I've got 9 of em also that all ohm fine.

Except 2 of them don't flow anything, and 2 others are damaged and piss out a stream of fuel with no spray pattern. This all happened while sitting in a box on the shelf.

They are garbage, but if they work, don't toss em. You might want to test them though before install if they've sat awhile.
