to get DEALER ONLY parts. I have been searching the net and the dealerships website, gm parts sites etc have varied prices. Some are very different. I found one steering column go from 1400 to 1100 for the same part, yet they were opposite in the housing price as the cheaper place to get the column had the sterring tilt housing for 100 bucks more. Their list prices are/were different too.
So, I know Chris May gives good deals, but has anyone found a cheaper place.

Problem is Steve, you are in Hawaii and shipping will be heinous. Let me know what you are in the market for and I'll shoot you back what I can sell for.

Have you looked HERE? they show:
Part Number: 26017735 List Price Core Price Your Price
Steering column - Housing kit Housing kit, corvette 1992 - 1993

GMpartsdirect (Flow Chevrolet) sells it for 320. Still pricey.

Is that including shipping?

I've used Flow in the past (www.gmpartsdirect.com), but only on hard to get/out of stock parts, as their prices are real low, but the shipping gets up to rediculous sometimes.

And remember if you do use them, make sure you ordered the right part. They only communicate by e-mail, and returns are a hassle.
No phone calls accepted.

This does not include shipping. It is a small part, somewhat. My Dad was able to get their phone number when he ordered parts, that ended up being wrong.
What I do is email them with the request, then they send me a photo and ask which part I need, then I order.

Did you try Chris May at Superior Chevy in Merriam, KS, and ask for the forum discount?

I emailed him yesterday. I think all I need is the housing support, as the pins are tight in the housing, this part.

Like I posted in the other thread I had in regards to my steering column stuff.
Well I got my parts coming. The guy that did this column back in mid 90's has all the parts, and is a good person. Anyways, the part the dealer has is in the mid 300's. Well he sold me that part and the support for 200.
I am going to modify the old one by having my machine shop I work at put some super wammy dammy bushing material, so if anything wears it will be the pins, not the housing. They said they can drill out the housing and support, secure the bushing in so the pin is snug, like its suppose to be.
So, when this happens I will do a write up with pics etc.
The housing and support are just pot metal. So, we'll see.
Jeffvette, I am sorry if you are sitll looking, but I found a dealership here that will give just as good prices as Chris May. We shall see
