My headlight on my driver side is really dim. The PS is fine. It is the same for both high and low beam. What could the problem be?

Could be the light itself is bad, you could try swapping them. I had a problem after my headlight upgrade that the ds was dim and the ps was fine. I did everything including running new grounds. All the diagnostics for the wires seemed fine. Turned out my battery was bad. I would look into that, too. My battery was producing enough amps according to the multimeter, but once a load test was done it showed that it was shot.

Good luck,

Matthew

Hmmm, battery is only 6 months old and shows as 12V when I turn the key. I will look into a replacement though.

My battery was only one year old and was supposedly a top of the line one. But when batteries sit they can go bad. That's why my new battery (interstate) is on the charger anytime it's not being used.

I would pull it and take it to the auto parts store and have it load tested. Like I said, my old battery showed 12v on the meter, too, but it was no good.

First make sure the ground is clean and tight. My 93 FSM indicates it should be on the frame rail near the parking lamp, your year may be different.

I am pretty sure thats where mine is as well. I did mess with that when trying to mount the horn. I will clean it up and try again.

Check the ground all the way
to the headlight connector.
Mine was bad right at the connector.

DING DING we have a winner!! It was bad at the connector. When we were messing with the horn relay we must have hooked it up wrong blowing the fuse for the horn as well as the plug on the DS head light. All caused by power going to the ground. Thanks guys!
