Good Morning Gurus!

Almost Valentine's day for those that celebrate it. Fair warning....

Not much of a weekend for me, with working all day Saturday. I did get to drive the Vette on Sunday, so that was the highlight. I did not watch the Pro Bowl. Hopefully it was a good game...

The wife and I are seriously considering a Pergo floor for the kitchen/dining/living room/hallway of the house. I've watched some videos online. I know at least a couple of you guys have done this, so I'll have to search out those threads later today.

We have some 10 year old carpet that needs to be replaced. I have an old man Dalmatian who sometimes cannot control himself... It's nasty. So I need something that will clean up easily. Plus my whole family suffers horribly with allergies. So a laminate floor seems like a relatively inexpensive way to go. I'd like to do tile but I need to do the install myself, and not sure I want to mess with all the spacers and grout. Then there's my kids soft little melon-heads to think of. Plus I think the laminate will be much cheaper. But I have some homework to do.

Any good stories?

We've had laminate floors in our dining room, family room and living room for several years now (must be 7 or 8, lost count), and they've held up really well. I did the install in one of the rooms, and it was pretty easy.

Good day for our own Adrian Peterson in the Pro Bowl yesterday

I've also put in a fair amount of tile. A bowling ball will break a tile when it falls from a countertop onto the floor. Don't ask me how I know this.

Ok, I hate Mondays!
Saturday was a really nice day in south Missouri. Took the Vette out for about a 250 mile cruise. South Missouri has a lot of twisty winding roads, and in case anybody knows the area we were down along the Ozark Scenic Riverways.

Stopped and had a nice early dinner and then drove back home.
Watched the Bud Shootout (great race), then Sunday it was back to cold weather so stayed inside all day.

Today, it's ice! Winter storm warning until late tonight. The Vette is nice and warm in the garage. :thumbleft:

I bought a new house 2 yrs ago, wood floors downstairs, best decision I've ever made. Easy to clean, 1 indoor pet & no kids. Of course you can see every bit of dust so your cleaning all the time.
