Ok, this has been going on for awhile and now I am detirmined to fix it. I have an intermitent problem, when I turn my wipers on high they work, any other setting and it works sometimes but allways at the same speed when it does work. Some times the sprayer works and some times it dont. I usually have to shut the car off for the wipers to go down when I am done using them. Its not the switch as I just replaced it. I doubt it is the motors as they do work but I am thinking it could be a loose connection. Suggestions?

This is not an answer, just another wiper issue on my Yukon. I turn on the wipers and I here a hum from under the dash. Washers will not work and blades wont rotate. Manually move the blades (extremely dificult while driving) and everything works for a little while until they lock up again. When I went to the stealership and described the problem; guess what they replaced? The friggen washer motor. They worked well for about a month then the same crap. Sometimes they just stop dead. I don't know whether it's the relay or wiper motor but on mine I'm leaning toward the wiper motor. So I'll just lurk and see what comes up.

Don't know if it helps, but I used to have a problem with my 94 s10 wipers - they would work intermittently. I had to pop the hood and wiggle the connector going into the wiper motor. Then they'd start working again. Never got around to actually fixing the problem properly because I sold it, but something to look at.

Yeah, I think mine is a loose connection. Just been so busy I have not had time to really look at it. I will be this weekend. Plus a wash and a wax and tire shine, and engine foam, and a vacuum session, and uh I think thats it.

My wipers only work on Dry days.

if it rains very hard they pack it in. But they work great when the sun is out.

My wipers on my 92 do the same thing. I had a new stem put in when the rebuilt that side of the column. They still do it so I don't know what it is. Of course I haver not driven it in the rain in over a year so I don't worry about it.

I haven't done research on the vettes, but I had the same problem in my sierra trk. I was told when the controller boards get a little age on them (as our C4's have now) corrosion is a problem. Long story short, I replaced the board and the wipers worked fine. No more intermitent wipers.
