Good Morning Gurus!

Rainy and foggy in my part of the world. Not conducive to productivity...

And yet, here I am at work.

Mom still alive?

Just back to work... nothing more than that, really.

It has been slightly better than expected. But I don't get to talk much...

Our house is too small for the five folks that live there all the time. Adding one more makes the place almost unbearable. I ended up going to bed around 7:30 last night, just because I was not able to live in my own living room.

Three more days...

Eventually that little smilie dude hitting the brick wall is gonna crash right through it! Best of luck and kudos to you for staying calm.

Catching up on things in the office. We have so many different events being implemented right now, I just reviewed our master calendar and between planning meetings and events, we have 43 different things calendared just until the beginning of August. I don't know how we'll get any other work done, like submitting our grant proposal for next year (so we can have another round of planning mtgs and events).

But it's good to be busy! I have a meeting later today that will provide me with a pretty good hot catered lunch! =)

Yeah, having extended company you often feel like you're walking on eggshells in your own home. It'll pass quickly, though.

Been a rough morning so far. The munchkin was a little fussy last night, so I didn't get much sleep. Got up at about 7 and started working on the car. Ran into problems immediately. I was taking off the trans cooler lines from the rad and the lower fitting was seized on the line. I snapped it off I looked at replacing the whole line and it's a lot of work. Apparently need to drop the exhaust to get to the trans fittings. Even getting to the retainer clip is a *B*. I found I can get to it with the belt removed and the tension idler dropped (and about a million swivels and extensions). I'm going to try cut off and reflare the end and see if it's long enough. The fitting was so seized to the hardline that I had to drill it out and pound it out with a punch. So off to the parts store I went to get a flaring kit (since I don't have one). I still haven't tried it yet, I started working on some other stuff like changing the hoses and doing the TB bypass. Of course, I've done like a quarter of each one, and it's time for a doctor's appointment (baby) shortly so I had to stop and get cleaned up. I'll post pictures once I'm done.

Hope everyone elses' day is smoother than mine....

Matthew

Last few days I've felt weird. Kind of like my life is a zeugma.

I can't believe you don't know what zeugma means.

zeugma n. figure of speech in which a single word, usually a verb or adjective, is syntactically related to two or more words with only one of which it seems logically connected.
(Ex.The room was not light but his fingers were.)
