Wrote during the week that crude oil was stuck in a trading range of $132. to $138. Guess we broke out of that late yesterday and today. Its now trading at $142.80 up $3.16.

NYMEX doesn't close until 2:30. A falling dollar and a falling stock market and rally in gold.

Next week should be interesting.(four day week)

Energy stocks look good this year. Rig builders, exploration and natural gas. Stay away from the refiners...they have a narrow crack spread(thats what its called). Commodity stocks also look good (gold, copper).

Several mutual funds have all of the above.

If you like GM, look at the preferreds or the bonds(they are less speculative and pay great dividends and interest)
