94z07 free hydraulic pump for bleeding clutch systems?

Inspiration:

I'm going through the bleed proceedure for the clutch hydraulics. It occurs to me that if I had a little pump I could loosen the bleeder screw and push fluid up to the master and resivoir. Then it occurs to me that there is a hydraulic pump already there.

Ok so here's the idea:

Make up a hose and fitting that will allow one to remove the bleeder screw from the front left caliper to the clutch slave. Sit in the car and pump the brake to bleed the clutch.

What do you think?

It is already there... it's call the "Clutch Master Cylinder."

The problem isn't the bleed, it's that air gets trapped in corners of the slave... makes bleeding very hard.

I wasn't aware of the "clutch master cylinder". Thanks.

I am not quite sure how pumping the brake could bleed the clutch system. Even if you ran the hose across I dont see that happening. You would need reverse pressure to bleed it not positive pressure. If you do it the way you suggest you would be forceing fluid into the clutch slave all the way back into the master. I would assume that would let more air in then force it out. The way I bled mine was have someone else in the car and disconnect the slave from the bell then bleed it a few times in differant directions while holding it. I would work out almost all the air that way, just keep an eye on the master as the fluid flows quickly when pumping.

It sounds good on paper, worth a shot!

The whole point of bleeding from underneath is forcing the air UP, and also bleeding under pressure, like a phoenix tool

The normal bleed method makes it easy to draw extra air in, and you're trying to force the air down against buoyancy.

Just make sure your bleed hose is on there tight!

I see said the blind man. I thought it was forcing air out instead of up. I have forced out air pockets before through the bleeder.
