Car is in shop and SO FAR my bill is up to 400.00 They are taking the top off monday to do a visual check on everything. Said he would do it for free. New fuel lines are required, exaust manifold gasket is shot. Trying to see if a lifter is damaged.

Good luck.

So, if you get all this stuff fixed up, I guess you will be keeping the car for a good long time.

Taking it apart may be free, putting it back together won't be!

There's no such thing as a warped lifter, but keep us updated.

Well, he called back about the fuel lines. He said he was going to upgrade the fuel lines to a stronger type. He also said that my fuel lines failed due to age and that they were unusually close to the manifolds. He is going to move them away from them to help keep the line cooler which is nice. Everything from the fuel filter forward is going to be new.
