I knew he was on his way out. Too bad, but he had a helluva run. They'll never be another like him.

It was sad, but, at 83, he has a great legacy. One we will all charish and remember fondly.
Either by watching his films or reliving his racing career. And the dressing will be around for a while, too. |

It wasn't but a few weeks ago we were discussing his final tribute lap in New Hampshire.
I was so bummed out this morning when I heard the news. He's up there doing hot laps in heaven right now. |

I saw him race his GT1 car at LimeRock, he's quit the driver.
He will surely be missed He said goodbye to Lime Rock earlier this year. http://www.trackpedia.com/forums/showthread.php?t=4485 http://www.apexspeed.com/forums/showpost.php?p=183665&postcount=1 From the link in thread: Quote: LimeRock was closed down today Wednesday [Aug 20] or an hour and a half so Paul Newman could take a few last laps there in his GT1 Corvette and say goodbye. He was diagnosed with cancer 18 months ago and is not expected to make it past September. R.I.P. |
