It's 2 years today, and counting...

Some of ya' know the story from the other boards - head on with a drunk, both goin' 55, square, headlight to headlight, 110mph combined, all on the report no exaggeration. I can still smell the gunpowder uh-huh, (no seatbelt). 55 - 0 in zero.

That was the hand of Jesus Christ at work. Knew him before, still know him now. Hope the other guy did; he didn't make it.

First thing I said was "Oh my God" 3 or 4 times. Couldn't breath good nope. Then I saw I had no holes in me, and said "Praise God" uh huh.

Then I saw a guy who saw it (a bunch saw it all too) out of the corner of my eye. He was kinda' leanin' around to see in, from a ways away, cause no one wanted to see what was left. He saw I was alive, and asked me if I was ok. Know what I said? " I'm fine... what makes you think anything's wrong?" Always the wiseguy uh huh.

Friday 10/06/06, 5:52 PM, 55mph. NOT a good day. Today was good. Still hobblin' like a bro' from the 'hood, but life is good uh huh!

KNOW Christ; cause you DON'T know your time. And it's for EVER after that uh huh. Wiseguys are acceptable too, just know the limits.

Had any bad ones yourself?

Geez! And I thought I got hit hard two months ago. Not familiar with your situation, but hearing a story like that makes me realize I'm blessed and so were you! Prayers for the other person as well.

Chuck, sorry to hear about your misfortune.

Was in a head on as a kid, (I was 4). We (entore family)were coming down rim of the world highway from Big Bear through heavy fog about 35 in a 64 Nova wagon...Drunk driver with wife and kids racing opposite direction in a brand new Mach1 Mustang. witnesses sid he was going 70+, hit us head on.
Mom died, Dad and sis were in a coma, almost didt make it.
Id have to get the pics from my sis, cant even recognize what was left of the wagon, still remmebering the paramedics covering her up with a sheet and trying to hide her.

Been in a bunch on my own since including a rollover on the fwy (flipped 7 times, only got a concussion!)but walked away from all of them thankfully. Cant kill me!

I do wonder what the seat belt would have done. Cut me into 3 pieces? Or kept my legs from manglin' up under the dash? Dunno' nope. One thing for sure tho'; the airbag kept the steering column from pokin' out my back yup (still broke 6 ribs on the steerin' wheel tho' #5, 6, 7 left side and right side).

I don't know how I could keep out of trouble there Ron, if a drunk killed someone I loved - parent, sibling, and then walked... I would have a problem with that.
