That's a lot of smoke! I'm assuming you had a line lock installed? How does dad's C5 compare?

I have to admit I was expecting some wussy tire-squealing excuse for a burnout.

Hey, without linelock, how are you keeping the car still?

The tailend of mine wags all over the place when I do a standing burnout with the brakes on.

No line lock,... I swear. I just get on the brakes really hard, rev it up, dump the clutch, and then slowly ease off the brakes, until they are on just enough to keep the car from rolling forward. We only did that about 4 times during the duration of our ownership... the cars rear never went crazy...

My Impala on the other hand, is all over the place.

I wonder if its because your vette is almost all front brake and it holds well. After 1988 there's some major issues with lack of rear bias.
