Interesting - not sure if that's a good move or not, but they're both in a heap of trouble. These are sad days for the American automotive industry.
I saw the other day that Chrysler is not going to lease SUV's anymore, since the vehicles coming off lease are worth far less than the residual. |

GM is, like Chrysler and Ford, getting raped by the UAW.
Personally, I would expect Chrysler to cease to exist if this happens. GM can't afford to have more product to deal with. |

Yeah, they're too big already. I think that's the problem. Diversifying is good, among different industries, but not to the point where you're competing against yourself with too many similar models (yet not a single hybrid.)
