I received these as a gift in standard and metric, and while it looks like they might come in handy for a few tasks that I can't get to with my other wrenches. They have the twisted shaft so old men don't hurt their hands when cranking on bolts... I'd rather return them and spend the $200 on some impact sockets.

I would keep them, except that I already have all these non-swivels in standard:

And these in metric (which are nice because they have a lip to hold it on the nut, instead of sliding through:

Not to mention all the standard comby wrenches.

I despise the swivel head. They usually do not have the strength to hold their position. I love the regular gear ratchets though.

Cool, so they are basically knucklebusters that are needed once in a blue moon.

I can do without.

The bad part is, next time I find myself in a situation where this is the only tool that'll work, and it's 6am on a Sunday before a trip to the racetrack, I'm gonna be kicking myself.

If they're the locking swivel head ones, I'd take them in a minute.
I also despise the nonlocking swivel heads. I wouldn't use them on a bet.

We had the locking ones in the race shop and I used them a lot. Really liked them.

I did pick up a set of the standard (nonswivel)GearWrenches at Sears over Christmas, mainly because of the price. $19.99 for both the Std. and metric

You'll need one of 'em for the crossover heat pipe bolt on the back of the passenger side cylinder head UH HUH.
