Got the shift light mounted....grounded..powered...Turn car on, it wont STOP blinking. I have tried every setting. Checked all wires. It's annoying. It blinks non stop. At first only three leds would light up. Hell, the car is in PARK and it keeps blinking. I pushed a button up on the settings and then all 7 come on. Im tired of messing with it. I know how to set the RPMs. I just want the damn thing to stop blinking and work when it shifts. The best part is, the car has not even left the driveway yet....If I can't fix it, it's gone!

On the other hand, my stupid A/F ratio turns no and off fine BUT it wont move. It says the cars running rich constantly which it's not. I have a open circuit or a short somewhere. ideas? Power source is thru the stereo. I tried to ignition but the stupid gauge would never turn off. Now it turns off, it just wont give me the correct readings. Don't even get me started on the Fuel Pressure gauge....Ill save that for another time......

Please help with two issues.

Bad grounds will cause all sorts of weird electrical issues. It is notoriously difficult to find good grounds in Corvettes, especially in the dash area.

Where did you ground the tach?

I assume when you say "chassis" you mean one of the two grounding studs on the kick panel?

The shift light isn't supposed to come on when IT shifts. It is supposed to come on to tell YOU when to shift. With the shift light, the A/F gauge, and the fuel pressure gauge, it sounds as though you might want to consider hiring out your electrical work.

RACE ON!!!

I think your shiftlight questions should be sent to the place you bought it from. May be a power issue, or defective shiftlight, I don't know.

If your a/f guage is pegged in either direction then the signal wire is definitely bad. I'm not sure how those wire up on a narrowband sensor. I use the factory electrical diagrams for all my work and for anything complicated I draw it first. I have seen and fixed plenty of piss-poor wiring jobs, I wonder how many cars burn up every year from that.
