I've been wanting to do a flag on a helmit like that.
That design would probably have taken me 6 months to get right.

IMO, Bell helmits are the only helmits.
Is that an M4?

It is a Bell M3 Kevlar helmet. I have no artistic talent at all, so I just communcated the general themes and let the artist do his thing.

OK, The M3 has been replaced by the M4, at least in the catalogs.
So, it's exactly like my helmit. This is my second M3.
I'll have to post a pic sometime of the paint job.
That's why I told you I didn't want to paint yours. I figured you wanted something like that.
I think I could duplicate that but like I said, 6 months with my screwups and resanding.

Funny when I thought about it, I felt it should have HardBar USA somewhere on the helmit.

Well, I am impressed by the artist here. Obviously, Sacramento is not that far from Reno. MSI really came through on this!

I've met a couple of those guys. They have a really good rep.

Yea, an artist. I'm an amature. But the custom paint on that kart I posted pics of came out OK.

I guess I will have to use a helmet bag now and not just throw it in the back of the truck anymore.

Good idea, I got mine free with a Bell purchase years ago.
My paint was in nice shape aside from some small rock chips in the front until I drove some of the Miatas in the driving school thet were light on the padding.

I painted a helmit for a friend and he dropped it on the asphalt trying to get into the car the first time he used it.

Nice! Except now you need a helmet bag for it so nobody steals it out of your seat.

My race helmet is scared up from banging my head against the side of the roof panel during right turns.

It's kind of hard to go around corners with no HANDS.

You know, it's nice that HANS finally came up with the injection molded units at a reduced cost and that they came out with a 20 degree for us guys that like to lay back a little.
I hope more and more drivers start using them.

Yes, or the R3, or the Tucker device, or something! My brother got killed in a street car accident when he was 21. He was T boned and it just snapped his neck at about 70 MPH, which is nothing compared to the speeds we do at the track. Some kind of head and neck support is really mandatory I think.
