I doubt it....It will help yea because the L-98s exaust sucks pretty bad...3 catalytic converters was dumb plus age has taken a tolll on it and if your cats are clogged....eww.

Nope, get you some headers with 3" pipe all the way back and some good after market mufflers.

Other option is 2.5 true dual muffler eliminators.....Longtube headers by hooker....

actually, yes.
The L98 system SUCKS WIND. It has a pair of precats, and a central cat. I feel that more than half of the 50 hp found in the LT1 came from the better exhaust. The dual cats of the LT1 have much better flow characteristics than the L98 cats. The only question is the O2 sensor... the LT1 system has one on each bank. the L98 has only one. I don't like the idea of "true duals." The problem is that each bank is running independantly. Duals are fine, but at least install an xpipe to help scavaging. |

Considering how cheaply the LTx systems can be picked up, you'd be hard pressed to achieve more bang for the buck. If you run across an LT4 system, it already has a crossover. If you use an LT1 system, add an X-pipe or a crossover for maximum benefit. |
