During a garage cleaning we evicted a condo of mice living in the stack of bushel baskets. A couple of days later the wifes '08 Impala ran like it was missing and a 'service traction control' message appeared. Car is under warranty, brought to dealer, mice chewed through injector harness, not covered, $385 bill. Oh, and you can add the dealer to my hate list. New car, 7 easy bolts to pull plenum, tape up wires to #1 injector, $385? Good customer relations, no?

Yea, they even chew thru the rubber wind block on my garage to get in.
I bought one of those live traps years ago. I just dump them in the garbage now. Seem like you get some coming in (more when the weather turns cooler) and if you don't get them quickly,a whole bunch more will come in. If you stop them, you usually get a couple of months where they're not coming in. Since I bought the trap, I haven't had any more damage. |

The feed stores have the traps that you put in peanut butter and seed poison sticks. They clamp shut so the family pets or small children don't grab them. They work pretty good too. Varmint eats and dies.
