Stepper motor? Assuming it has to do with the speedometer... What year is your Z71? I had a 99 and it never did that and I had 120K on it when I traded it last year.

It's a 2003..
A friend of mine here as a 2003 GMC Z71 and he just had to have all of his replaced. Every one of them was going haywire...Right now, just the tach and speedo are off..
I looked it up on the GM Truck forum and it's a common problem for that year truck..
Milege cutoff was 85K, and I've got 89K on mine now..
Found lots of places that will replace them all if you send in the cluster...Guess I could do it myself, although I don't have much experience with the soldering iron..

Howdy!

Nice day on tap here...too bad I'm
Looks like the stepper motors have gone haywire in my Z71..
Anyone here had this problem? Looked it up this am and it looks like I'm just over the mileage limits for a free replacement... figures...
Anyway..y'all have a great day!

Happy Friday Eve Folks!
Taking off tomorrow...ready for a 3 day weekend..

Nice and cool this morning..around 50 when I left the house at 5:45...

Took these photos back in Feb when I was stranded in MO after the blizzard--(the day I was scheduled to move!)
Yep, I won't be sad if we don't get any snow here this year!!

One summer pic thrown in for reference!

Get a one pound package of spaghetti and cook noodles. Get out a oblong cake pan, put in the noodles, at least one pound of pulled pork BBQ meat, and one 2-cup package of sharp cheddar cheese, half a jar of spaghetti sauce and half a bottle of BBQ sauce. Mix very well and put it in the oven till melted through, covered. Near the end, uncover and put more cheese on top and let that melt down.
Add some home made garlic bread and a cold beer and you're all set

Best drummer since Buddy Rich.

No one else comes close.

And the fact that he "went back to school" 4 years ago and entirely changed the way he plays is impressive.

There's a good documentary on Rush that's been playing on HDT lately.

Neil lost his wife due to illness, took off from the band for a year and road his motorcycle 55,000 miles. Then came back, went to drum school and kept playin'

I've seen that documentary...Amazing..He lost both his daughter and wife within a span of 10 months I think it was..

Wow...Yeah man..I can't remember the last time I played the drums..think I last laid down a usable track back in 2004?? .Had'em set up (for display basically) before we moved to MO back in 2009...but they haven't seen the light of day since...
Daughter found some drum sticks tonight and started whacking on everything in sight--- Man...she's got it!!! Her timing was just freakin perfect!!
Also...she's right handed, but when she picks up a guitar she wants to play it left handed!! ???!!
I'm ok with all of that, but then she want's to start dancing... I don't know where she gets that hip shake from...but it ages me exponentially....
guess I need to go ahead and get a few more firearms, just in case!!

Howdy Folks!

Thought I'd stop in and say hello! I've been trying to fly under the radar lately...Lots of stuff going on here at work...most of it's not good....and you know what they say..if you don't have anyting good to say, don't say anything at all! So, I ain't saying!

Marcus, I hope that stupid idiot does some serious jail time..and I hope he hurts like hell! Thank goodness the scum didn't try to get into your house and harm the family..

Wow Matthew! One year already! Times does fly...My little girl turned 4 this past June, and I have NO idea where the time went!

Went out last night for the first time in a long time and saw Dr. John in concert here in Wilmington! Always wanted to see him, but was just never in the right place at the right time, until last night!! Freakin Awesome show! Opening act was Eric Lindell, and that guy is amazing!

Hope everybody is doing well---Have a great day!
