Good Morning CGs!

Haven't kicked off chat in a while. Just a quick note to say hello. Not a whole lot going on here. Took the kids to the park last night because the weather was so nice. It's supposed to be 66 today again which is incredible for this time of year. Maybe I'll get a run in tonight. I wanted to last night, but couldn't make it out.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Matthew

Greetings! It's staying halfways-decent here, too - they keep predicting rain, but nothing much materializes. I Rejexed the inside of the new snowblower last night, so when we finally get hit, I'll be able to throw snow into the next county. She's a slippery beast now.

I hope everyone celebrates Hump Day in the traditional fashion.

Weather here is slated to turn for the better for the next several days. It's been unseasonably cool in Florida this past month. Not that I'm complaining. Bring it on. Just looking forward to the traditional winter dry season. Daylight savings time is coming. Soon will begin the 13 hours of darkness from 05:30 PM to 06:30 AM. With my night vision issues you know I'll be hanging around the home. Not that I don't do that a lot already.

Good morning, all!

Chilly but sunny in Philadelphia today.

Busy day at work, but it started well: my wife took me to the train station in the 2012.

Good morning Guru's.....Matt and Brad enjoy the day, that is what we had yesterday and not what we are having today. Cold windy and rainy.....we will send that over to you.

Tired today because I had a big day yesterday...so I will stay in and do some office work. I read that Ford is reproducing the 1965 Mustang body in convetable form....that is cool when you think about it....that is like chevy building a 67 vert and selling it.....just think of the possibilities....would it ruin the prices on the originals?

One foot in front of the others Guru's weekend is coming...

Morning guys.....It's quiet here at school. Team and fan buses got back between 1 and 1:30am. Probably tired kids (and a few adults)today. Boys actually played well, got beat by 9 and we had two TDs called back. Oh well, now B-ball can start.

Windy, cold and damp today. Looking at a high of 39*. I think that was to occur at midnite. It is still very dark out (because of the clouds.....(: )

Have a great day.

The weather's gonna change a bit this week, been working in the shop with the garage doors open.
It's supposed to rain or snow midweek, that will be the 4th day of rain since mid-May.

Probably a good thing, good weather makes me drive around in the C4, crappy weather makes me work on the C2- DNBFS

Morning all.... nice fair weather predicted here today but rain tomorrow. I HATE fall and winter. I don't do cold. Period. Used to deer hunt but gave that up too the last three years. Although seeing those three in my back yard and five in the neighbor's yard recently makes me want to dust off the bow.
Wish I didn't have to work today but today and tomorrow then I'm off. i desperately need to get off my arse and get this other project up to date, hoping to feel like doing that and a little laundry this evening.
Have a good day all...

Words to live by.

Another day in paradise here. Nice weather for this time of year in Chicago, so can't complain about that.

Had my initial consult with the radiology oncologist yesterday. She has one more scan that she wants to look at before she completely commits to doing radiation vs. chemotherapy. I thought I had this all worked out with my primary oncologist, but I guess the radiology doctor wants to be 100% certain. She also told me that due to the location of my tumor, I was likely going to lose a fair bit of hair along my hairline, and that there was no guarantee it would grow back. My hair was the only thing that really made me happy when I looked in the mirror and it looks like that's going now too. They also told me that I would have what looks like a harsh sunburn on that area for a while, AND they were going to tatoo a temporary cross on my forehead to be used during daily treatments to line up the linear accelerator. Wonderful. Bald, sunburned and a cross in the middle of my forehad. Should be a hoot. When I balked about the tatoo, they said perhaps they can give me a radiation mask and put the cross on that instead of my forehead. At least I got that goin' for me. Sorry for the rant, but things didn't go quite as well as I had hoped for yesterday.

I can just hear the old/fat/bald/Corvette snipes coming from my friends already.

Maybe they have a tatoo that looks like a target.

Sorry. But you know I make stupid quips in the face of a stressful situation. Character flaw.

Do what needs to be done. What anybody else has to say about it is of no concern to you. Shave your head, wear blue jeans, black T-shirts and a black leather vest. Nobody would know anything and if they have questions they might be too afraid to ask.

Actually, the target thing is a pretty cool idea!!

I figure if I get the old/fat/bald/Corvette flak, I'll go out and buy a big azz gold chain to complete the look and let 'em know I have a sense of humor about it.

By the way, where's Don been?

Took the access panel off the bottom, but it's easy with the lift. I actually replaced the complete fixtures earlier this year.

I made today a day for contemplation.

I thought about cleaning up the house.

I thought about workin' on the C2.

I thought about workin' on the C4 but it never needs any work.

So, since it was nice out, I drove around, ended up at the casino. DNBFS

I did manage to stop at a store so i could reward myself with a Shrimp Pan Roast tonight.

ron good luck again on your treatment. when rosie got the gamma knife laser radation they made a mask for her. the brain tumor was just past her hair line above her forehead into the hair. she lost all her hair for awhile then it grew back. that was the second time she lost her hair. the first was when she was given chemo for the breast cancer. but her hair is grown back and looks good. i wish i could get mine to grow back lol. God speed and a quick recovery. you are in our prayers.

No, rice would screw it up. It's too good (and decedent) to serve with anything but French bread and your fav beverage.

This recipe is from The Oyster Bar in the Nugget Casino -Reno. A boatload of my customers (when I was workin') always wanted to go there for lunch, so I ate there at least once a month.
