Hey, look at me! I started my first daily chat! Wooo wooo!

Okay, enough. Working from home today, as I have an appointment this afternoon with the radiology oncologist. It's a consultation before radiation treatment begins. Saw my regular oncologist last Friday, and despite the fact that the only place they actually found cancer was on the bump on my forehead (diagnosed as primary cutaneous follicular lymphoma), he's still convinced I have it in my neck lymph nodes. No point doing a biopsy there now, since we now know exactly what kind of cancer it is and we know that it's very slow growing and may never need any chemotherapy. Especially if I continue to show no symptoms and have no issues. Not too worried about it right now actually. Just thankful that all is as well as it is. Onward and upward.

Cold and clear here in northwest Indiana this morning. Nice start to November.

Have a great day all!

Ron

I had very good luck with my radiation treatment . I had Squamis cell that took a lot of cutting before the radiation treatment started . Good luck. Mine was from my forehead to neck lymph nodes. When they finished I was very bald.

Hang in there.

Morning guys....things are crazy here. Team leaves in about a half hour, fan bus in a couple hours. Should be a quiet afternoon (fingers crossed). Ron, that's good news....positive thoughts going your way. Steve, I hope your cancer stays away too.

Have a great day.

+1 more... health mojo to all in here, I see lots of posts with those having some troubles.

Wish I was at home today, it's absolutely beautiful here! Wouldn't mind taking another scenic drive. The building owner just left here, he's very well off and owns a helicopter (among a bunch of other things) and I'm supposed to make him some business cards. In exchange he said he'd take me up in his helicopter along where all I drove this past weekend and I can see it from that way. I hope does, and I can maybe take the office camera and get some nice photos. Keepin' my fingers crossed!

I've actually thought about getting a late 60's Jag roller and putting in Chevy small block engine (can I say that) and a Ford rear end or buying one already converted. Looks like a Brit but runs like a muscle. I've got enough irons in the fire as it is. The 928 is the next on the rework list once it gets sorted mechanically. It's not gonna be prime but it will be an eye catcher. Like my 83 911,90 and 91 Vettes. Good weekenders. The 87 911 is near mint. We got it close to that way and keep it that way. Keeps me off of drugs. I don't have any money to spend on them.

These are common enough that there is a specific name for them:

10 more days to

Doh. Christmas is right around the corner. Start thinking about it now so you don't have to pick up a present for your wife/gf/bf from the local drug store or Walmart on Christmas Eve.

ok...

First, Ron, sounds like great news! Keep an eye on things, tho , and all should be ok!

Jags... check out the latest issue of Wheeler Dealers. They do a series III Jag V12 coupe. Interesting stuff. Complex car, but not impossible.

Finally... yes, I should be in Vegas enjoying SEMA... sad part... I blew my back out and can't walk long distances before my left thigh hurts so bad that I can't move. Turns numb, then icy cold, then hot, then stabbing pain. Can you say "sciatica?" I had an x-ray done yesterday. I want my back to be better by March for Sebring... so a short term loss (SEMA) for a long term again (a lifetime of no pain).

So far, I am ok for short tasks and walks, but more than 20 minutes at a time, forget it.

Am I disappointed? yup. Very.

I was thinking that as I was removing a quarter inch of dirty grease off the water pump a few minutes ago. The pump rebuild kit is only $42.00.

Good "stocking stuffer".

Sad news this evening. My FIL and MIL have made the decision to send his Mom to hospice. They have started to stop all treatment and remove the feeding tube. My wife is with them now having dinner and discussing what will be. She had a great run. 96. Up until 95 she was holding up pretty well but has declined in the past year. Dementia, breathing issues and just failing health in general. As always, I celebrate a life well lived. She lived a long, productive life full of optimism, shared kind words and a big smile. As the light of lifes candle dims the shadows that have been cast will stay with me through the rest of my days. Life; The day we're born through the day we die. Something we all share, a beginning and an end. Live well brothers and sisters. Make life matter.

Good Evening CGs!

Been busy around here. Hit the snooze a few times this morning so couldn't get on to post.

Ron - good to hear and good luck with the treatment.

Tommy - sorry to hear about the family. It's probably for the best, but a tough decision to make.

I'm so very sorry to hear this. It was a most difficult decision to put mamma in hospice, so my prayers are with them and the rest of your family. It's a very difficult thing to do.
May God Bless.
