in a few minutes " the 13th of never" arrives... why... because it is my wedding day of which I swore I would never do. But love reigns and the heart grows weary...I could also think of noone else I would rather be with and nobody has ever stood behind me like she does!!!

I am a fellow machinist and like "most" inspectors ... usually the guys in charge were bad machinists ... who couldn't hold tolerances etc..I always reveled in the fact that maybe they could measure it or tell you how to do it BUT they could'nt do it. The people that can do "it AND who hold those positions carry my respect..
sounds like nobody respects this guy and usually this does not go un-noticed but I know how hard it is to work under those conditions.... Used to be due to the nature of our work you could always go to the next shop for more $$$ and I have never been out of work/laid off unless I wanted not to work. .

I'm a sucker for a friend in need of help too.. although for me its kind of a pay it forward thing.. and I do enjoy it.. I learned or I should say am learning how short life is and how one breath could take all that away .. that was an eye opener so I try to take it all in stride and enjoy the time I'm given.. carpe diem !

Do you know what takes more lives each year than breast cancer and AIDS combined?... me either UNTIL it happened to me back in Sept. ... The answer DVT or deep vein thrombosis. March is national DVT awareness month DVT's can cause fatal blood clots folks. for me it was 2 pulmonary embolism's one in each lung.. I though I was getting the flu and felt congested..8 days later I knew better and how lucky I was ...some 300,000 americans die from empolisms each year most related to DVT.. I hope you all learn some more about DVT .. oh and by the way 3 days after I left the hospital I started to build my hot rod and vowed to enjoy my life each and every day. Readers Digest has a nice article on this in the March issue

I have a hiflow base , SLP runners , non- ported plenium and fuel rails that I would part with for the right amount.. they're used but not by me if interested let me know I'll send you some pics. I was going this way so I could basically bolt on the new.. no cold start injector and if I wanted to I could bolt back on to stock

Sears has a deal to sell Craftsman brand tools at Ace Harware stores. Sounds like a good deal to me, for Sears, that is. We had a tool discussion here not too long ago. This I found interesting. The article said Danaher Tool Group is a manufacturer of Craftsman tools. I looked up Danaher. The Md. based company is the "world's largest manufacturer of ratchets, sockets and wrenches." They will also be marketing their tools to the industrial, construction and gov't end-user markets.

They have our CNC equipment. Danaher also makes Armstrong as well as others. Always a nice visit there to see the new stuff in R&D.

I'm Kevin , I was a Valentines gift to my mom. I'm 29 with a soon to be 17 year old nephew. I get to say that cause my mom stopped celebrating my birthday when he was born on Valentines day too. Anyway been into the car thing as long as I can remember. This is my latest project an AV8 on 32 rails doing all the fab work myself right down to building the frame

I thought I was getting a cold- congested short of breath- tired quickly. Being stubborn I just kept pushing myself harder. I went to the Emergency room because my leg was sore and tight. Turns out I had a blood clot in my leg. The CT scan showed I had a PE in both lungs. Basically the clot broke went through the heart and lodged in my both lungs. It could have been much worse had the broken pieces of clot been either larger or smaller. Larger and it could have stopped all air to my bloodstream . Smaller and it could have went to my brain and caused a stroke.
I get a CT scan next week to check out the progress but I feel fine . Sure gave me a lot of perspective about life and whats important to me

I too said I would never get married again. I was married twice. Then in Sept I spent a week in the hospital , the docs and nurses got me to realize I was real lucky not to be taking a dirt nap. However to the point- I too have been on both sides of this topic. But the person I am with now has stood beside me through thick and thin. She's getting a diamond for Christmas, not sure if we will ever get married but I thought I would never buy another ring and I did.

OK- having seen the pics! WOW ! She is a fine looking lady , everything you said. I would have a relationship with her , but not sure of the long term thing at some point the age difference is like when your a kid. The other question is can you handle guys hittin on her all the time? I used to date this woman - we were serious at the time. However every time we went out if I left her for a moment she had a line of drinks. Not bad for the wallet , but sometimes had to wonder why me.

I use laptops for work as well. They average about 4-5 years before replacement and go through tons of abuse without problems . Bet I open and close the lid at least ten times a day. I did have one years ago that had a hinge problem however that has not happened on the last two.
