Ah geez, now that I read those I think I have all of them except number 3 of course.

I was talking with a guy I work with about a friend of ours who had a heart attack and survived it and I asked him when the last time he had gone in for a test. He said it had been awhile (like years) so I got after him and kept after him.

So he finally went in and did a stress test and they took him off the treadmill and about 4 hours later he had a quad bypass. Don't mess around with this stuff no matter what age you are.

I'm not getting it. Are those original cars impossible to find? What engine did the originals come with? Although for 10 or 11K it would make a nice car for someone. He probably has a lot more in it.

Isn't that your garage Bill? It looks like it all nice and neat. I'm thinking that is your new C2 frame and engine.

Nice ride! I don't know if I could of modded a split though. Restored to original value has to be big. That engine is impressive, I like it almost as much as a 427 with 3 X 2's.

Don't get me wrong. This is a great Country and it has faced a lot worse but never underestimate the resolve of the working class. They will do what it takes to keep the boat upright. Sometimes what we need is some adversity, when it gets easy we all get lazy.

All the ordinary folk can do is vote and write letters or emails to the people making the decisions. If those letters are respectfully submitted without a bunch of F bombs they will be read. It's what we can do!

Hey you fucking librals you can all kiss my ass, is not going to influence anyone. Instead try, Dear Sir, in regards to your last vote on health care I see that you have voted against what the desires of your patrons would want you to vote for. You intercoursing demecrats need to come down to my trailer house and talk closely to my exposed rear end.

See nice is always better!

Throw enough engineering at it and products could be developed that would let cars run on a very high percentage of it (a renewable resource) including older cars.

There's not enough desire to do so.

Engineers and scientists could do it given enough resources.
Hell, if they can develope the current phones that do everything but wipe your ass, they could do this.

I think the desire is there as far as the ethanol industry is concerned but at this point there is a limit to what the country can produce. Corn is ok for the time being but to get to big production we are going to have to include switch grass and any other bio digestable products we can find.

The only thing that is going to speed this up is a disruption of the crude supply coming from the sand people. We are moving ahead but it is 10 to 15 years down the road if the current crude supply stays intact.

I think California is an example of how social services can bankrupt you. They still seem to open the doors every day though. It is all funny money anyway. A dollar is whatever the govt says it is because there is no gold or silver to back it up. I don't think the Fedral Reserve Bank is our friend.

SUV's? If they really wanted to, they could get the Ethanol thing done and gas mileage wouldn't be much of a problem.
But they don't want to and neither do the oil companies.

Wow Bill, Christmas came early at your house. Nice pics Brad is it always that cleaned up?

There is no joy in Mudville today, the mighty Huskers struck out. We went from dancing in the streets when we were up 17-0 to just another cold winter night with a lot more of them on the way. You gotta be able to hang onto the ball! Oh well, we will go lord it over some poor team at the Bowl game and everyone will be ready to hit it again next year for the Big 10. Look out Minnisota!

Gotta help get some decs put up, have a good day off Guru's!

Isn't one of the reasons we are losing manufacturing because of the cost of labor? Does some of that have to do with the unions? I'm just asking. You can't spend more than you make for very long, be it a family or a Government. You can't have an ecomomy based on that overspending.

As Andy states the price of gas became the tipping point. If that was all it took than it was just a matter of time before it all blew up. I think that we pay enough taxes, its the spending we need to regulate but as long as you can print money or keep borrowing it from China to cover your asses then who cares, right?

If the folks in this country ever got to living within their means and saving a large portion of their paychecks the economy will never get to where the experts think it needs to be because we aren't out buying every new toy that comes along.......unless you take some out of savings instead of just slapping plastic. Mmmm those 3D TV's look exciting to me.

All of this does not count in the purchase of stuff for our Corvettes. There you gotta do what you gotta do.

The only Bush taxes I'm concerned about them changing are the death taxes and capital gains/inheritance taxes. The Govt does not have a right to get their hooks on what my folks scrapped and saved and paid taxes on all their lives. Or whatever amount I can come up with at the end. I will go to the wall on that one!

Provide for the National defense, keep the schools top notch, make sure the roads and infastructure are in order then leave me the hell alone!

Bill - I hate you.

I cannot imagine how the automotive public must have reacted to the C2. It looked SO modern compared to most anything else on the road - Jag E-Type notwithstanding.

I was in 8th grade walking to my Dads office from football practice which went by the Chevy dealer. Looked inside and saw a silver 63 split with red interior. I never have been the same since!

Zora was looking older even in 62. I got to meet him at Spearfish in the very early 90's. Also Larry Shinoda. I still have my 63 owners manual that both of them signed. I did not let it go with the car.

I have changed gradualy and see myself everyday. Some of the actors that I remember seeing on a show I haven't seen since that show, so there is some OMG what happened to them factor built in. I am starting to be suprised by the my mirror lately also.

I saw some rough stuff for 25K. Any older restoration that needs some work would be 35 to 40 I think. I'm thinking of that nice little 63 I let go for 27K back in 91. Nuts!

Bright sunshiny day and going to be in the 40's. I might grill some steaks later. My hired man is coming to work and I got some sales calls to make.

I bought a Swiss Army watch about 10 years ago and can not distroy it. Have a profitable day Guru's!

What I have taken from doing a lot of study is that you should be able to get maybe 50 more horsepower and I don't know how much torque from opening up the top end and cleaning up the exaust. Plus it would be fun to do and is something that I think I can do on my own.

Like so many things, where do you start and where do you stop. It's all about time and money.

Places with a big Irish population have a big St. Paddys Day. Mexican areas the Cinco de Mayo. Down here they have a big Three Kings parade in January. Jewish areas will flaunt the menorah. Just because your big on it doesn't mean everybody is. It's all about respecting others beliefs or non beliefs. So when it comes to taxpayers money not everybody feels comfortable with public money spent on religious displays. On private property or on property operated by a religious concern that's up to local and national regulations. There I feel is the appropriate place for any partisan religious/non religious presentations. {JMO} (Flame suit on).

Geez Tommy........I never thought you were a naysayer. Yeah the Mexicans have their celebrations and so do the Irish but a majority of those groups are Catholics/Christians and they usually do Christmas up right. The Jewish have their own traditions that are not followed by those that believe in the New Covenant. They are still respected since 2/3 of the Bible is the Old Testiment and used for teaching in our Churches every week.

In fact the majority of folks in the U.S. profess a belief in Christ. So if the majority wants a manger scene on the lawn of the courthouse or the ten commandments displayed then why shouldn't they get it. I bet most folks have a town that puts up Christmas decorations on the light poles downtown. The city does that for us every year. I don't think many complain about it. It's part of our culture, and the others need to respect that culture.

I think Christians respect other cultures and religions far more that they respect ours, don't you? And don't even get me started on the whole seperation of Church and State thing. This is all IMHO.

That's what Matthew was suggesting.

Marcus, did you see the article that Tommy posted recently on the comparison of L98 intakes? Check it out, here.

I saw that and had run acrossed it awhile back. Very good stuff, again I wished they had used a stock L98 instead of the 383 but did note the gain of HP and torque on each different installment.

I would do exhaust before intake. Personal preference, but I don't see the point in adding air "intake" into the motor without being able to expel it.

Also, by the time you are looking at big mouth base and big runners, you are getting into the same range as a used superram, or stealthram territory. I'd look at those as options, too. Not that the big base/tube setup is bad (I have it), just that there are other options out there.

The computer will compensate for the exhaust differences without much issue at all.

After the intake, talk to Mick about a tune.

I like the looks of the stock TPI so will probably go with that TPIs system. What about roller rockers does it pay on a stock engine?

No snow here thankfully but it is cold and gloomy. I don't think I could ever retire like just stop work. I will always work at something to bring in some cash. Which reminds me I better get started.

Have a safe day Guru's!

This winter I wanted to open up both the intake and exaust on my L98 to get the most out of what L98 has to offer. I was strongly considering TPIS Big tubes and manifold with the plenium hogged out to match. TPIS said they would recommend a fuel pressure regulator and the 52mm Throttle body.

On the other end a set of long tube ceramic coated headers through the original cat and on back to a cat back set up that honestly I don't know what to choose. I have read every post I can find and its all up to who likes what. I do like quiet in my old age but do like to be able to have burble. I was thinking about the TPIS headers also.

What about the tune on this type of project? Yes new tune with top side, but no change with the exaust side?

I don't have the money to do both this year so I'm thinking go with the exaust side first and next winter the top side.

I could also do some roller rockers this year if that would help. I am putting on some new valve covers and would have them off anyway. What do you guys think? Thanks

Isreal is not going to let it happen. I see in the paper this morning that several Arab leaders have lobbied for U.S. strikes to take out Tehran's nuclear facilities.

The longer we can avoid that all blowing up over there the longer we have to develop our own energy sources. Which we will need when it happens.

Hope that works out for you guys, Don. I'm thinking a month or two in Phoenix would help with the sinus problems.

Cloudy, cold and Monday. Yuk! All the leaves are brown, leaves are brown, and the sky is gray, and the sky is gray! I wonder what kind of job Tommy got? Matt must be real tired today!

Let us all endever to perservere today Guru's, whatever that means, sounds good though.

What amazes me is that you have to have a law that allows you to do what is in my opinion a God given right to protect you and yours. We need a little more deterent like that so the scum start to think about it.

Yeah Brad your Golden Goofers did well! That should give some hope to everyone going into next year. I need to ask Matt why they race when it's freezing out. Seems hard enough without the cold temps. I suppose its an added endurance thing.

Cold and windy here, yesterday very nice got some Christmas decs up. Went to Church and now hanging out. Enjoy your day Guru's

I've seen it all now Bill!

I can't believe there are people who make their living knowing how to thatch. Not much thatching here in Huskerland. We did have sod houses though.

My daughter and SIL were in Lincoln yesterday for the game, I'm sure I WILL hear about it when they come home today.

Hopefully they did not incure any threats. The vast majority of Husker fans are decent folks who hate to lose but realize its only a game. We have always had a reputation for respecting the opposition by applauding them as they leave the field win or lose. (except Texas who we love to hate, but then we never could beat them not even this year. Can we say psyched out!)

I hope they had a good time, the place was rocking and we had a nice fireworks display after the game.

Matt, you go guy! Good luck in your race! Like TeeBee said it is amazing how much difference there is in bikes. My daughter bought a real nice bike for college and I was like why pay so much for a bike, then I rode it. I was impressed with how smooth and light it was and how it handled. (like my C4) No more Wal-Mart bikes for us!

How about those Huskers! Big win to get us into the Big 12 championship game. The Big 12 Commish did not show up to present the trophy for the Big 12 North division, citing death threats from the Nebraska fans. I can see that after the debacle in Texas last week but they didn't even send the trophy and some erand boy to deliver it. SOB's, looks like I will have to send more letters this week.

How about that Wolf Pack? Yes! BCS chaos, to follow. Nice job by Nevada to keep in there. I do feel sorry for the poor kicker from Boise State, I don't know if you can ever get over that.

Have a good Saturday Guru's!

Good stuff! I am thinking about doing the same with 56K on mine and have the same deal with the surface irregs. I'm glad you posted your findings.
