Come out to Reno for the air races to see em. They take the 1800 horse Rolls Royce Merlin and kick it up to 3000 horse.

Incredible plane, history, photo. Some were sold surplus for as little as $1500. I wonder if that included the six 50 cal. Browning machine guns?
