good morning, sunny here but pretty cool in the 40s. Hoping for warmer temps. Not much happening here at work and really hope it don't. I have enough to keep busy with for now.
I'm not sure what happened but when I went to bed last night I guess I died. arron's alarm which goes off almost hour before mine woke me from a coma, then I didn't think I went back to sleep. But, when mine went off at 730 is scared my soul outta my body. My hand was asleep, couldn't turn alarm off, that set off my tremors, I was shaking, heart racing, I just sat up on the bed for about 15 minutes trying to gather myself with drool and slobber pouring out. I've not slept that hard in ages. I think I'm still asleep.

Glad to hear surgery went well. I think if I had 100k extra laying around I might just buy me a one way plane ticket to somewhere far away and stay there, sit in the sun and drink.
Had an appointment today, as of 2:30 Oneta's house is finally sold. I need to get headstones ordered for her and her folks and I'm done.
I'll be picking me up a good bottle of something this weekend

Not too busy at work today, dude with semi is now mad at who he went to after he came to me. He badmouthed me when I tried my best to help and offer a solution and talked over an hour with him. Now guess what? Yep, he and his crew were in a meeting for an hour with me this morning. Work will get RE-done here, after all. Hoping for a quiet rest of the day.

I don't need anymore anything either, thus the purge. I'm 54 and if something happens to me Arron will have a horrible go at getting rid of things. We don't want to stay in this house anyway and some things I simply no longer care to keep, I can live without.

Good afternoon, slept in late, didn't sleep good so tried to take advantage of the dark and quiet. It's gloomy here and really warm, storms hovering around. Might nap later. I did a ton around here this weekend, although you can't tell it by looking. Over did it. I'm just holding my easy chair down today and that's it. I thought I was the last one on the block to get lights down but looked up the road and the Jones dude still has the inflatables out. Looks like the Grinch and Santa napping in the front yard over there.
I don't know what 3am looks like other than getting up to pee.
Marcus the MCM swung vase (well, anything MCM really) has taken off. For some reason I used to find these and collect things cheap, now seems everybody wants them for some reason and prices have gone through the roof. I'm in the mood to purge the whole house and I did pull some of my least favorites to get rid of. I'm siphoning off the smaller ones and just a couple of large ones. One of the large ones I found out I had two so one is getting sold. I like Empoli decanters also, and turns out everyone else does too and prices have gone up. I refuse to pay what others will pay, I collect things for me to have and admire. I"m not paying 200$ for an Empoli, I'm a tight wad. Same with vases, I'd rather find them thrifting in the wild. Bonus is some of you live in prime picking areas for me and I"m just too far away to drive .

Good morning still no classified docs in my garage or Vette that I have found. The memes on that issue have been rich on Facebook. And, AOC needs to keep her opinions of gas stoves outta my kitchen. Just when I was looking for one. I like gas best and we have electric now and I hate this ugly white stove. It's slow to heat and I just hate it. Looking for a stainless new one. And, from best I can tell, there should be a gas line back there and they converted to electric years ago. I wanted to put back a gas one. I did find an electric slide in for $3k that does not only convection cooking but air fry (eliminates a contraption off the counter) as well as wifi and bluetooth. Seriously what would you need wifi for on a stove? The ad shows the lady using her phone to control the stove which is right behind her. I mean, lady, just turn around??
Sunny today and warmer, hoping to get christmas lights outta the bushes and into the attic and get my new rug into the house. I thift shop and found a $2200 rug, recently on sale for $1200 at the thrift store for $30. Looks brand new. I'm thinking now do I keep it or sell it and keep using my old rug? Decisions, decisions. The vintage friend of mine with the shop has decided that next weekend would be better for me to move my stuff and bring her new stuff , fine with me. Her and hubby compete in steak cooking and she's out this weekend. I will be taking her some more vintage vases since I'm purging my herd as well as a pristine mid century Preway Majestic fireplace. I paid $125 for it and will list for sale for $3500. One of my vases I paid $50 and they're selling for $450 so hoping for some extra cash there.

Good morning, very cold and dreary here today. I had planned to do some outside stuff today and it ain't happening. Kinda throws my weekend off. So far I'm still in the house in my jammies with my coffee. Might just shower and go back to bed. Not feeling it today. Never fails, sunny and 70 on my day off, 38 and cloudy on my off day.
I have GOT to get this house cleaned, dusted, mopped, vacuumed and wiped down, laundry done, Christmas lights down and all the stuff inside put in the attic. The Rover is still full of sand from the trip it needs cleaned. I have a sh*t ton of vintage swung vases to clean so I can sell, promised a friend I'd drive a hour away to help her move her store and none of if is likely to happen.

Good afternoon, unseasonably warm today, storms rolling in tonight they say. Waiting on some approvals for some folks so I'm at a standstill till then. Had issues with a semi print over the weekend and dude tried to blame our owner, when that didn't work he occupied my office 4 hours yesterday trying to blame me. His fault. He used a pic (that was illegal to start with/copyright infringement) then tried to make it too big, then modify some things and did that all wrong and then sent it to me 37 feet instead of 53 feet. All on him and I wasn't trying to be polite about it either. Now he's trying to fix it and asking me for help like I'm his babysitter. If he's such a bada$$ designer he shouldn't need my help. I'd rather not be involved. His client is the one who badmouthed me a couple weeks ago to start with even though I tried to help the dude and do something custom for him to get the same look and still be legal. I have no use for folks like that.

Good morning, at least the sun is out.
My day off, tried to sleep in but the city mulch truck was right behind my bedroom. Ugh. I needed the sleep. Both of us have been worn down for some reason and very tired lately. We feel fine just behind on sleep I guess. I didn't get anything accomplished Friday except be the next town over at a freind's new shop. I consign vintage mid century modern glassware to her and she's moving so helped her a bit. Saturday was rainy and we didn't do crap except go hit a flea market locally. Yesterday, same thing. Today, I need to go pickup a deer that's been processed and do a couple other things. Probably wont happen. I still don't have all the Christmas junk down. Just been in a funk I guess.
I think I"ll load the cooler in the Rover, go get the deer and take my hammock and string it up at the little lake that's nearby for the afternoon and ponder my existence while sitting in the sun. Sounds like a plan.

Good morning Gris - weather about the same here. I'm supposed to have a bus and a car in today for measuring, we'll see. I'm doing a pull up banner for a food truck, menu stuff, and I will never do this again for the quote promised. I've had about 48 revisions and it's a PITA and not worth it. Next time there will be a policy for food trucks/restaurants that there's extra design time fees for those due to the time consumption of them.
I kinda had a tremor in my car this morning, but it's sat for a while so figured the tires had flattened out. It smoothed out a lot by the time I got here. It also barked at me about low tire pressure but those also came up some after some driving. Have the Vette club meeting tonight, was hoping to get home on time, but at least I won't have to cook since we meet at the golden corral

Issues with the house sale again, this time the title company is trying to discredit me and the lawyer as if we are being shady. Her DC says dementia although she never had it, lazy doctors just put that on there and it stuck. She signed deed in february, passed in April so they think we hoodooed her. Lawyer took it up there himself and notarized. He says they're way overstepping their boundary. WE changed companies and it gonna cost me $150.
I'm just ready to be done.

Good morning - rode to work with Arron this morning, and figured I coudld've done it myself once we got out. Not too bad here. Got to about 2 last night, around 12 on the back patio. Wind kept blowing my plastic open on one end but it worked out. Mother nature must really been pissed off this go around, roads were prepped then it rained and washed all that off, then rain froze, then it snowed on top of it then billion mile per hour winds made it even colder, couldn't have been worse I don't think. I figure most of my plants are dead in pool house. Turns out the dude that came to fix heater left something undone and it hasn't been getting warm out there. I'm sending him a bill.
Tommy I did the same thing with Oneta's fridge one time, had nothing to get ice out of it with and used her scissors. I was being careful knowing what could happen but yet I managed to ruin a new fridge. Turned around and bought another one, lesson learned. I have a spare now, too bad you aren't closer you could have it.

Good morning - overcast and ugly here this morning but a very warm 49 considering. I didn't need a jacket but I've brought the wool coat and gloves as temp will drop through the day. The bus and Malibu never showed up for me to measure today and I'm not doing that crap in the single digit rain if he shows up today. He's invoiced already so I'll pick up on him when we get back.
We're due 1-2" plus today it's supposed to rain, then temps drop to 9 I think. Ugh. I'm supposed to work 1/2 day tomorrow but rather just stay home. Have to pick up a few things at Kroger before we head out as well as go by Sams and fill up with gas. Allegedly at Panama City Beach it's supposed to be coldest in 30 years at Christmas, right when we'll be getting there.

Good morning - cold this mornin but sun is out some that helps. Tonight will be 21, then 48 tomorrow. Tomorrow night low will be 41 but then comes that cold mess. We are predicted Thursday night to be at 2 with 9 Friday night. Snow is anywhere from nothing to 4". I'm hoping for nothing as we will be travelling Saturday morning.
Plastic tarps working well. I got that idea from one, my greenhouse while searching for new/reusable plastic and two, in the winter at the beach they use these to keep dry and cool in the 'outside' areas sometimes. Gromments every 2' so you can tie them off. I can also put more grommets in here at work or take the grommeter home. Marcus I had one of those shop halogens on stand last year, two lights, and greenhouse we made was thin plastic and only about 4x8, and 6'tall. It worked just fine and ended up using just the one light on it. Worth a shot.

Stick a halogen shop light on a stand out there. That's all I needed here last year and we had single digits for a bit

Matt, hope the wife feels better soon. There's hiring signs all over here too, allegedly with good pay, but those who are job seeking claim they're bogus. Many here apply then complain they don't get a call back etc. Wondering if people are putting up signs just to cover themselves for being short handed or lax on service.
Back at the office, slow start. A couple won't answer emails then I'll bet will complain when I'm gone next week. Their problem, I tried. One has free co-op money too and he still won't get back like he should.
We worked at home all weekend, we deep cleaned the back patio, got that plastic up before but needed some adjustments and it works nice, got all the leaves from back yard and whole rest of house bagged up plus some of the neighbords, cleaned inside house, laundry, you name it. I've gathered up 99% of the dog's stuff to give to another pet mom. I had no idea I'd bought that much crap for this dog. Geez, she sure was bougie.
Reviews of steroid pack my "natural" doctor gave me: first time in four years my hip, sciatic nerve, leg didn't hurt, even when I slept. I felt like I was supposed to feel like and it changed my life this past week. I wonder if I can take that crap now on? I don't think I sat still all week/weekend.
Pics of the back patio idea. No way we can do $20 grand to box that in like I was quoted. And I think the quote was a bit much for no more than I wanted. I just need framework with screens, the rest I can do myself. Actually all of it we can do , Arron is just too busy to do it, he works enough. I wanted framework for screens that slide, (shoji style) and then I can add plastic in winter - pretty simple. This setup I used clear heavy weight tarps, plus a flexible ceiling mount curtain track. And I"m out less than $400 I"ll add skeeter nets in spring and take plastic down. we can tell a huge difference. temps yesterday were 49 but it was 70 back there. We also dug out a little heater we weren't using so that will help too.

Good evening, been sunny and around 50 here no complaints- got the back patio half cleaned up, back yard leaves up and pool drained down water lines all blown out . Got onetas ashes planted now that I finally found out where she goes. Fixed a rotten border post while we were there then ran a couple errands. Worn slap out now will try to clean house tomorrow then rest.
Tommy , Little Rock was a bit north of where I’d like to tell some of those people to go.

Winter is here and more of it is about to be here. Cold yesterday and today although the sun was out. And a giant cold front moving in right when I planned to go to the beach for the holidays. might as well stay here if it will be the same there as it is here. Figures it's 78 there this week and when I want to go it will be 38. Can't win for losing my mammaw used to say. I'm off either way, not matter where I"m at.
Car trailer dude keeps adding to his design, it was a partial on the sides, now it's full sides, then he added the back. He's approved so I'm trying to get him ready to print. Lots of people wanting stuff last minute and don't understand there's folks ahead of them and there's only so many people here to do work. I can't stand the entitled attitude of society today. Tint guys got cussed at this week already because they're fully booked for the next 2 weeks and some dude was mad he couldn't get tinted the day he called. We apparently inconvenienced him because he was going out of town tomorrow and needs it done. Tough shit should've though about it two weeks ago.
Trying to make it a good day regardless, I'm off at noon today.

Good morning - the sun is shining today!!!! Locals are elated, and we had the most beautiful sky and totally round double rainbow last night. But, it's beyond cold out. Need to get an ambulance measured and proofed today, also have a van coming in and need that measured and proofed as well. Almost done with the car trailer and he just messaged me wanting to add the back of it. I was hoping to get him done today I'm sick of messing with it.

Good morning, sun FINALLY came out today but forecast says rain still so we'll see. Forecast I saw from Texas also said 6"of snow on the 23rd and we're supposed to leave on a trip the 24th. Please Mother nature let up on us! We've had enough. For those who want our rain runoffs I say they can build a pipeline similar to the oil delivery ones and send it on.

The other lady said kindly "sir, do you know this is the ladies' room?" He said "yeah, Im a woman, do ya wanna see me parts?" in a smart ass tone. I motioned for her to just go . I SHOULD have said "Yes, as a matter of fact I do".And called the fool out. That was nothing more than an attention move. If you want to be a "woman" fine and look weird all you want to but fully expect if you are dressed as a man and have a thick full ass beard you will be addressed as a man, period. Since your genitalia is not on display, others have no way to know. And if your male-presenting self comes in my WOMEN'S bathroom, I will speak up as it makes me uncomfortable at the obvious invasion of my privacy in what should be a gender specific private space.

Maybe he can print next week. Thank you all for the condolences for Onyx. I sure do miss her. She was a pain in my ass but I miss her. I'm home by myself a ton and she was my company. She lived longer than most labs and she kept trying bless her.

I have proofs out on my nursing home bus, and we're changing the car trailer layout, will end up with two photos on the side of 3/4 angle shots of front and rear. It's what I was kinda wanting to do to start with. And, I have a heat and air dude with two trucks to do so enough to keep me busy.
Gris you're right about the dog, they finally got her in this morning. Said she had nerve damage, plus she has heartworms but has doing well with those considering, and she was 16 which is a long time for a lab. Also said she had some sort of infection in her bowls. Not sure what that was or how long it had been there. I never saw it. We had her put to sleep around 11 today.

good afternoon, been MIA here over the weekend as usual. I get home and get busy with crap and don't get on a computer much if any. I have a hard time navigating forums on my phone. Happy birthday Gris, sorry I'm late. Tee I'm stealing your poem to post to my FB Corvette friends if you don't mind.
Working on my nursing home bus this morning at work and have a few other odd stuff pending. The Superbird guy is due in today, he's pissy at me. Not my fault. He was snarky Thursday and it ruined my whole weekend. I tried to do what I could with what I have to get the pic I needed. My "pieces" will take me many hours to assemble I'd rather have a photo. He was fussy at me about why we don't have that camera here or why I personally dont, and why someone else 15 years ago could get that pic and put on a trailer just fine. 1: we have no need for that high of a pixel camera. Most of my art I need comes from an online high res service we pay for or corporate images where they have a marketing agency that gets me what I need (budweiser for example) and 3: I'm not a photographer and dont' own that equipment personally. I'm a designer not a photographer. 4: I told him to start with he needs a professional photo that could be sent to me, I was in the process of lining up someone for him that I new could get it for me and he took it upon himself to get a "wedding" photographer. That dude can't do this size of image. he said "he's a billboard guy" well, so am I but not one photo for a whole one that' seen at a distance so you don't see how blurry it is. 5: That guy 15 years ago probably had 55mm film and he's a sign shop with different equipment than I have and Ill hedge a bet the image was on a trailer but not near as large as this one. I guarantee it. Digital today I don't think still has caught up to the film of yesterday.
In other news: Screening in our back patio will be expensive and I wanted to so I could add plastic in the winter or just put windows back there. I can't afford it so I ordered a ceiling mount, flexible curtain track with roller hooks. We installed that and I bought 3 ten foot clear tarps plus one 16 foot one. The 3 tens go on one end the 16 on the other and there's just enough overlap for a pass through. Can already tell the difference. when we get some sun, they'll flatten out more and I can adjust. We will be putting in a small gas heater for winter use and clean up out there. then I"ll be able to sit out there and I can put plants out there for a greenhouse. I'm out about $400 on the setup. Come spring, I'll remove the plastic and hang up mosquito netting with weighted bottoms so that will help during the summer to keep skeeters off me and outta the house. And, dog is due at the vet if they can get her in today,I feel she's at the end of her road. She tries to get up and be mobile but her back end goes out from under her and I know she's in pain but bless her heart she tries. She's gotten very picky about food and yesterday I don't think ate anything other than a couple of treats. Nothing I do works now. When we let her out she don't bark to come back in now just stand there. She quit getting in her recliner in the shop about 3 weeks ago so we tossed it and she gets on her bed. She will pick up a bite of food then drop it. She prefers a blanket on the rug as opposed to a softer bed, just lots of stuff and had lost a ton of weight lately. As of now vet hasn't called but I wish they'd hurry up so we can either fix her or let her go. I don't want to put her to sleep but dont' want her miserable either.

Hate to hear that about MvVie. So many of the artists and such from before are dying. That story about the preacher is horrible, bless them all. you just never know.
Marcus, the client did hire a photographer with a professional camera to take photos but they were still too grainy to use. This will be seen up close so it needs to be clear at 14 feet wide. I don't know anyone that has a camera of that high pixel caliber. Someone that shoots for large posters and such maybe but none of that is around here. What I did yesterday was a last resort. A combination of many images can produce a larger whole image that one single shot. And I can stitch together in photoshop. But the large size that he wants this thing to be I just don't see it happening. My "pieces" are better but it will be a sh*t ton of work and very time consuming. It will take me hours. I'd just rather not. I need to call him and let him come see my assembled parts to see what he wants to do. He wants to put the car up for the winter which will not be where I can get any more photos of it. my only other option is to look online and try to find someone that has shot one at a size that would reproduce this large and try to buy digital rights. Not the first time I've had to for other things. It would help if there was one in an online art service but I've not found one.
Very cold here today and being out in it yesterday so long I think caused my croup I have to suffer a setback. Rather not be here today but have stuff to do. Need to be here tomorrow too to get caught up but if he dont' want to fork over the cash I won't be here.

Just want to share a pic of the car I just went to try and get other "pieces" of photos of. Will look at my parts later but this is the whole car. "over restored" even down to tiny rubber things inside, better than new. And, it's not his only one ~

good morning what's left of it.
Nyquil was working good this morning and it was hard to get moving. I had a bus coming at 9:30 to measure and photos to take at 1 so I needed to be here. It is way too cold here to be outside doing anything much less standing in the wind for an hour or more measuring stuff. My hands are froze. I can't wait till time to go home. Fingers crossed my photos later will work. I need a photo of this Superbird to print clean at 14 feet. I'm about to do my last resort hail Mary thing and use my Sony point and shoot and my phone to take photos of this car in pieces and then get in photoshop and put them all back together for hopefully one, large printable image. Huge PITA for me but I really don't want a crappy photo of a car that values at $250 large on the side of a very expensive trailer that hauls it that will be seen everywhere. If this was gonna be seen on a billboard or at a distance I'd use what I already have but I'm not comfortable with it and neither is he.
Bout to take a lunch break with some warm comfy left over chicken and dumplings and get back at it. Y'all have a good day

I can of course sympathize with the old folks home issues. At least in our state we have the visitation law now, it's law in other states but unfortunately not all states. It's stalled in committee preventing that. Sad and shameful of our congressmen.
RSV in adults has been going around here and lots have been sick. Arron had it a bit back and I've had the basic issue sinus crud. Managed to get the house clean Friday all day, Saturday I was out running all day, Sunday I don't remember and yesterday I spent the day putting up Christmas stuff. I just want to sleep. But - we've been having storms off and on all day and they're stil hollering the "T" word we all hate so not resting till all that blows out and we're in the clear.

Good morning, slow day so far at the office and I'm allright with it. Not felt good for a few days and last night I woke up with some mild fever and runny/stuffy nose and headache. Got up and took a swig of nyquil and back to sleep. I guess I got some kinda crud but not bad enough to be flu, wrong symptoms for rsv and home covid test is negative. Guess I just have some sort of cold. Not good timing as I have a ton of crap to do and none of it has gotten done.
Did finally get the raw images from the photographer for the Superbird for my client's trailer. They're not any better than what I had , just different. The client supplied his own with his phone but resolution too low to use, blurry. These professional ones from the billboard dude are full of "noise" or grainyness. I don't want to use these either. Client is coming at 1 to see these and I will suggest me going out there with my Sony point and shoot and doing my own but taking the car photos in sections: front, mid, rear and then reassembling in photoshop for one large image. This will be about 14' on the trailer so I want it clean as I can get it. If it was being seen at a distance such as a billboard it would be fine but it will be seen up close. Just will be a whole lotta extra work for me and at this point I do not feel right about charging the client for it.
Also, on the way in today I have a screw in my tire now. Figures. Not even had this thing a month yet and a tire has a hole in it.

So do I and I'm filtering through it slowly. I still will keep many things but selling my least loved pieces.
Of course any time you wish to discard/sell and it's MCM, retro, art deco, 60s-70s I'm always interested in adding to my hoard lol

Good afternoon - warmer here, 60 I think and Sunny. Would be a really nice day to be off at home sitting in the sun. A friend opened up a Retro shop so I spend most of yesterday there - hauled a LOOOOT of stuff to her to consign. I need to thin my herd - I collect MCM swung glass vases and pyrex. She already sold two of my smaller vases. Yay! Chrimmus moneys.
Didn't get much accomplished over the weekend, worked Friday, didn't feel too hot Saturday and Sunday.

Cold and cloudy here, would make for a good nap day, especially since I feel bad. Feels like I'm trying to catch a cold. Reports of a snow dusting but didn't see any when I got out to come to work. Day off today but here to make sure I'm covered for being off on turkey day. Got out early and made it through Kroger to get what I needed to take to Arron's aunts for the holiday.
Finally got the updated photos for this trailer I"m working on, dude has stalled me all freaking week, then finally sends them google drive and WITHOUT permissions so I still can't download them. Not sure why he did that or why he didn't just upload them to the gallery. I could've had this shit done already and now I have an aggravated client.

Good morning - sunny here and froze cold. Woke up to 31. I can't get warm. I sat in the truck 10 minutes this morning after thawing out lol.
Supposed to be a vette parade tomorrow for the passing of a club member, I'll be at the office so I'll miss that but we also are due to a local church at 9:30 to serve the public thanksgiving dinner early. One of our club members cooks and they and the Memphis club do this yearly. We bring 1 dessert, go at 9:30, we eat then clean up then start feeding the public at 11. I've not participated yet so figured I'd do it this year. I went to sams for copy paper for the office and picked up a pie. Turns out I got sams cash somehow from previous card use (2% cash back) so my pie was free. Maybe I need to go buy a scratch off.

sunny here and a tad warmer. Slow day at the office and I"m not complaining, although I do need to work on a trailer and am waiting on a photographer to send me professional photos. He sent them but he sharpened them and adjusted for clarity which makes 'noise' in the photo when enlarged. I'd prefer he left it alone so his 'professional' photo isn't any better than what the customer sent me from his phone. If something don't happen today from the dude, I'll go to where the car is and take my own and take them in parts and then put it all back together to get the sharpness I want. It's a ton of work for me in photoshop but it'll give me what I want. This is an expensive car and I don't want my name attached to a wrapped trailer with a blurry crappy photo on there that's 14 feet long.

good morning, rainy and froze a$$ cold here. I am not happy about it, especially with it being dark at 5pm. Nuts.
Ran myself ragged Friday getting plants, in taking some here and there, swapping others around and a trip out of town to a friend to dump a few more I needed rid of. Saturday was dreary plus I didn't feel good so I sat around with the TV and dog, Arron was off working somewhere. Sunday we were a bit lazy and took off to drive the Rover around all over then hit the Missouri liquor store for some wine on the way home. I spent most of yesterday fixing his pants he rips the hind end out of. He keeps his phone in his back pocket and when he bends, it puts a strain where the pocket rivet is, so it tears it next to the rivet. Rivets removed, patch piece sewn in and I also sewed a small piece of elastic in there so when he does it again, it has a bit of flex to that corner and won't rip again. He now as six more pairs of britches to work in.
supposed to be working on this man's race car trailer and he paid a photographer to do some nice photos that I can't get to the way the kid sent them to me. Not his fault, but something with google drive and permissions. So, once he gets those over I'll get started. Yall have a good day
