For those who remember, all those vette problems I'd had, no car to drive for 3 months, then the Plasma went out....
DONE FINALLY!!!!!! Have had car back for about 3 weeks now and (knock on wood) check engine light is still off - last code was the EGR. The man came to fix the plasma tv (NEVER BUY A HAIER FROM SEARS.....) and I'd bought a smaller 26 in lcd to get me by. Total list for the car..... Center muffler removed Alternator rebuilt Fuel pump Coolant temperature sensor (This little thingy does wierd things to your car I never thought possible, thought I had 3 dead cylinders or something) Ignition control module Brake booster Passive keyless in dash Passive keyless remote Opti Opti harness 02 Sensor 02 Sensor harness Balljoint on left front Rack assembly Front shocks Front rotors and brake pads EGR Valve EGR Solenoid Headlight Bushings Spoiler Gaskets Pulleys Both front rotors and pads Back tires New lugnut covers (thanks to Case) Still have some cosmetic issues, but been rolling good so far!

Beer Buckled In, But Not Child
DARWIN, Australia An Australian man has been fined after buckling in a case of beer with a seat belt but leaving a 5-year-old child to sit on the car's floor, police said Tuesday. Constable Wayne Burnett said he was "shocked and appalled" when he pulled over the unregistered car Friday in the central Australian town of Alice Springs. The 30-can beer case was strapped in between two adults sitting in the back seat of the car. The child was also in back, but on the car's floor. "The child was sitting in the lump in the center, unrestrained," Burnett told reporters Tuesday. "I haven't ever seen something like this before," he said. "This is the first time that the beer has taken priority over a child." The driver was fined 750 Australian dollars about $710 for driving an unregistered and uninsured vehicle and for failing to ensure a child was wearing a safety belt.

Was an exceptionally beautiful day here in northeast Arkansas, 84 and not a cloud in the sky with a slight breeze. Tv repairman came to fix this 42" plasma that's been out for 4 months now, and lo and behold it still don't work. Thinks I've got bad parts, so he reordered and said he'd come back when other parts come in. But, unfortunately I still had to pay him $218
 But, on the brighter side, the vette still runs

When the weather is nice, my top comes off and stays off till it rains. But, the bolts are a real pain in the arse - surely to Gawd there is a guru in here with some mechanical aptitude who can engineer and fabricate such an adaption that we may use to get rid of the bold headache.....

Drove it like I stole it! Seems ok, runs great, but something with that front end just quite isn't right yet, tho. Feel (and hear) strange things from the driver's side. Feel it in my left foot when it's on the floorboard while I'm driving, slight pulling sometime, and sounds like gravel or something up there, kinda like it did before the new rack assembly. But, the man at the front end place gave me a year to bring it back. Will call him first thing in the morning. But, after $2000 the rest of it seems ok for the moment!

Last one in Dothan Alabama, speed limit was 65 then dropped to 35 at the bottom of the hill - TRAP!!!
But, last time, was racing and got no ticket..... (Turned down dirt road with lights of and just sat there for awhile till coast was clearn then left...)

He even got the car back in for one more last go around and recheck, found a screwed up vacuum line from pcv, fixed it, I paid him in cash for all the work, (quite a long list) so he knocked a small tad off the bill.... Car is home as of an hour ago, ran fine getting here. But, given all my issues, LOL I'm scared to get too far out in the thing. Did manage to get those lugnut covers on though. Gonna drive it for a while and see how it goes. Thanks all of you for your support and kind shoulders offered to catch my whining!!!

Will be putting on my 4th opti......
Wet, nasty, broke all that crap Parts got here Saturday. I so far like this new mechanic, he's been up front with me and is actually getting into it and finding things that need addressed and is more than willing to show me what he finds and explains things. He tried to look for other things before getting into that. Gets me in there and points it all out to me.... makes me feel a lot better about him working on it. Hell I ought to have a new car almost. I've done a ton of crap to it. Little Heffa has new tires, new rack, new shocks, new alternator, water pump, fuel pump, brake booster, heater core, pke unit, ignition control module, 02 sensor, 02 sensor wiring harness, opti wiring harness and soon new opti. A dang teenager would be cheaper..... And, Little Miss better not show her butt when she comes back home. Got new headlight bushings, spoiler and lugnut covers (thanks Casey) waiting on her when she gets home! (Along with a date with the soap and water bucket)

Got it from the shop and took it to another who in the matter of 1 day found I needed part of the harness from opti with plugs. $200 at dealership, currently awaiting part from Ebay for $35, and we think that will have it!
Thanks for asking!!! I am soooooooo looking forward to the Little Miss coming back home!

Tuesday is my Monday this week and it started off like one... Snowing like crazy a whole 29° here in Arkansas, and to think, just Sunday afternoon it was a beautiful 75° here and I was sunbathing out on the deck with a cold beer. What's happening to the weather? Geez....

Although today will mark 5 weeks that I haven't seen my c4, I still like it. No weekend plans here either now that I know I will still not have my car back. Hope everyone else has a good one...

Ok, fuel pump fixed the crappy running, black smoke problem, now am getting told that the right bank is misfiring and getting an ignition control high voltage code, and he is trying to tell me to replace cap and rotor and plugs and wires.......????????????????????????????
And just picked up car and what do you know, died right as I was pulling into this parking lot....
