Something to keep your eye on:

If you use a particular intersection frequently, take note of the time that the yellow is on, does it seem that these yellows are shorter in length?

The camera syetems are usually run by a private contractor who gets a cut of each and evert ticket. They have been proven to reduce the time the yellow stays on just to increase the amount of tickets/revenue.

IIRC, some of these companies have been taken to court because of this.

now that u mention it yes the lights seem to cut closer than the rest of the lights around town. pretty fishy business

the later C4 does NOT use chips... from 1994-96, there is an EPROM.

EFI Connection offers and LS1 conversion for the LT1/4 ignition. I just don't know how well it would work in a C4 vs, say, an f-body.

thought u mean 86-91

Wouldnt that need an opti?
Sounds better to do the LS1 or FAST XFI

XFI looks very nice and not to expensive.
I havent priced out the whole LS1 system but looks very pricy

Haltech makes a plug & play system for the older C4

FAST is nice since a lot of tuners are used to it.

Then there's upgrading to a later C4 unit.

From what I have seen I like the FAST and LS1.

Which parts of my gauge cluster will be lost with either option?

Later c4 would be more convenient but still has chips.

I was looking into getting a tuneable ecu. I know I can do chips but since I have an 85 most places wont burn chips and would rather just get rid of it altogether and tune with a laptop.

Heard DFI is good and know I could always go LS1cpu but that is pretty expensive.

Also what all can I keep with my dash?
I figured I would go aftermarket gauge cluster anyway but just wondering

thanks for the help.

Yes im in shape.

Very nice. My asthma limited my distance but I was always very fast. Ran the 40 in 4.5. Don't know what I would run it at now, 13 years later, but I still feel pretty quick. Played defense at linebacker because I couldn't sustain the running routes when I started with receiving.

i dont know my 40 time since i never played fb but i ran a 10.98 during summer track 2 years ago without any training.

i run 110 hurdles. My best is a 14.8 as a sophmore in highschool 2 years ago. Im in much better shape now.
Im hoping for a 14.2 this year. My start is the weakest part of my race and indoor track will solve that

Ill be putting a port matched HSR from USM with the air gap on a 383 with Dart iron eagles.
My next build will be either a 400 (Dart) long block all forged with AFR 195cc competition heads.

With my 383 Im hoping for 450 as my heads only flow 250cfm at .550 lift.

Im sure with a 427 and a nice solid cam 700hp is possible
