I had those Craftsman trays or whatever we're calling those red ones with the holes. I brought them back because they have holes for sizes I don't have and no holes for the ones I did.

you know Andy, the group that goes on this doesn't really care about CF like you would think, they all belong to other sites as well, so as for my sanity, well that's always a question no matter where I'm at!

I should add that this year was by far the best Go Karting we ever did.

We had several head on collisions and the final crash of the day was HollyT getting smashed by GeorgeZ into the guardrail head on and wedging the Kart under it.

The track workers were loving it, they couldn't stop laughing for the 90 minutes we rented it for.

8 Karts, one totally out of commission after 40 laps and two more damaged from the head on collisions, but we kept running them.

We had about 12 drivers and kept switching cars and drivers, so it was nonstop the whole time.

Then of course we pigged out with the all you can eat crabs.

Hey everyone, just posted some pics from my crab trip in the chat area.

Attendance was downlike every other event I've been to, but still fun.

Was 9th in points for the Corvette Challenge 2010, not too shabby, so far this year, three first round losses out of three events, gotta get my act together.

Wow, it's only been a year since I replied to this thread.

Here's an update, just bought a new house. 4br, 2.5 bath, living room, dining room, family room, big kitchen and a two ca garage with a six car driveway.

The wife already has plans to build a new 3 or 4 car garage in the back yard, but that may be a while.

In the middle of redoing the kitchen, the previous owners weren't as clean as they appeared. They spent a ton of money on landscaping, but nothing inside the house.

I've been finding all sorts of "creative" wiring in the kitchen, so fixing all that up as well.

My commute to work is now 6 miles longer, but still less than 10 miles overall.

BTW Andy, loved your article on the rear suspension in CE.

Anyway, the wife bought me a brandy new computer with all the goodies for my birthday, so I'm sure I will be playing around with that later today.

Hope everyone is doing well.

NJ will be my home for the next ten years definitely until I retire, but I'll probably buy a second home elsewhere. Just don't know where yet. Costa Rica and Panama top the list.

Well other than my annual crab trip and the two Dover races, I'm staying out of Delawhere? also.

Got ten years to make a decision on a permanent location to live out my retirement.

Things are going great, but we haven't had a Corvette Challenge for over a month, next Saturday we start back up.

Well, the guy who fills in for me at work has been sick, so I've been working my ass off. Been hitting NASCAR races on the weekends, so not much free time. Been to 7 races so far and two more to go.
Then there's the drag race schedule and vacations.

Spreading myself a little thin, but the wallet gets fat when I work, so it's not a bad thing.

Congrats on the payoff! I was lucky enough to pay off both vettes within a few months of each other.

One was paid off with a tax refund and the other with the profit off a land sale.

Now if I could just pay off my truck!!!!

My first loan I actually overpaid and was sent a refund check, that's always nice.

As for financing a car through your house, I've thought about it. I have enough equity to but a Bentley, but why? I don't need a Bentley.

I'd rather keep my house paid off as it is right now and not have to worry.

I can understand the why worry about savings when you have to make a mortgage payment anyway, might as well live it up.

But I'm lazy and if my house is paid off, I only have to worry about taxes and utilities. If I refinanced my house to buy another car, I'd have to work everyday again, I don't want to.
I'm comfortable they way it is.

I'd rather take the money that I was paying towards my car and put it away so I could buy my next car for cash and not have a payment.

Once my truck is paid off and the wife's car, that'll be $1200 in my pocket each month that I didn't have, and that will be nice to have.

Don't know if that is Keith Valone, but it sure looks like his car.

There was another video showing him getting sideways, but I can't find it. If I do, I'll post it.

This event is open to all folks with any type car from any forum.

Date is June 20, 2009.

I will post more details as the date gets closer, but it will pretty much follow the previous 9 years.

We will cruise the backroads of coastal Delaware, do some go kart racing in Rehoboth and then end it with another backroad tour of southern Delaware and all you can eat crabs in Delmar,DE.

If you are interested, please post up so I can start a head count.

Meet points will be determined as we get closer to the date.

My dad will be 89 in two months. A few years back, we took care of all that power of attorney stuff, so if anything happens, I won't have much trouble taking care of things.

I bought his house 6 years ago, so no worries there.

Like the others, find a good lawyer.

My cousin is going through the same thing with her mother. She ran up the credit card and now can't pay, so my cousin called the CC company and worked out a deal with them, but then they got bought out and she had to do it all over again.

Someone else had did some research and found that where he was found compared to where he lived(and the car was parked) weren't exactly close to each other.

Woodbridge man found dead in field after hit-and-run
by Tom Haydon/The Star-Ledger

Monday October 20, 2008, 5:35 PM

The body of a Woodbridge man was found in a field early Sunday morning by a man walking his dog, according to police.

Today, police said they believe Leo Barnaby, 40, died of head injuries sustained when his 1997 Mercury Cougar struck a dump truck and three parked vehicles late Saturday night, Lt. Thomas Gennarelli said.

Genarelli said the hit-and-run accident involving the dump truck took place on Rahway Avenue just before 11 p.m. Saturday. Officers investigating the crash also found three parked cars hit on Yale Avenue, where Barnaby lived, according to the lieutenant.

The damaged Cougar was parked in Barnaby's driveway, the airbag deployed, the windshield smashed, and the interior bloodied, the lieutenant said.

But officers were unable to find the driver until about 8:50 a.m. Sunday, when the man walking the dog called police to report a body in a field off Mereline Drive in the Avenel section of the township, not far from Barnaby's home.

An autopsy was scheduled for today.
Something from this just doesn't add up.

Don't know if it's been posted here or not, but Leo Barnaby of Neverlift Racecraft(now Carroll's Rod's and Racecraft) passed away.

He had probably the fastest and quickest C4 in the world.

Here's a video I found paying tribute to him.

http://content.godragracing.org/leobarnabypasses.wmv

There are other videos showing him running in the 6's at over 200 mph.

I had placed an order 18 months ago and mentioned nobody had these available. The guy said he would look into it and obviously they did.

We were having a fire drill and as we were crossing the bridge into our parking lot, another driver was walking in and told us what happened.
We didn't believe it at first, but a few minutes later, I was on the road and heard about the second plane, and when I went to my stops, everyone had the news on, and some folks left work to go find out who in their family may have been involved.
One neighboring town where I deliver had close to 90% of it's working population in the World Trade Center. The local news yesterday said there were 166 people from Monmouth and Ocean counties who were killed in the WTC, but judging from what I saw, it appeared to be more.
There were a lot of cars still parked in the commuter lots. A sad sight indeed.

As you all know, I was the only one in "management" that ever reponded quickly to anyone's questions or requests. But since I've been "demodified" I don't really care what happens over there anymore.

I still have people PMing me as if I still had some power, I'd love to help, but I can't.

I won't part with my collection.

I am in the process of converting to CD or MP3, but that will probably take the rest of my life.

I have well over 1000 albums from the 20's to the present(yes, some record albums can be bought new).

Maybe if you're good, I'll leave them to you in my will.

John, you passed me on the way home from Carlisle. I was in my truck, so that's why you wouldn't have recognized me.

This year I thought sucked.
Though I didn't look, somebody told me that Mid America didn't even show up.

C4 parts(used) were hard to come by and the new stuff is overpriced, even with show discounts.

I missed last year and if things stay they way they are headed, I probably won't attend next year.

My whole crew that used to go, doesn't go anymore and that's what made it fun, hanging with the people back at the hotel.

On a good note, I did run into some old friends.

Jim Dawes with his awesome 99 coupe, Jim Stafford(Iceburgh) at the Meguiars tent. Jim Cummings,(85vet) and Jim DeForrest(YngAgain).
Also ran into Patrick from Digital Corvettes who I think may have won the burnout contest, but practically destroyed the car in the process. Burnout lasted 7.5 minutes from what I was told.

Frank the roads were too wet leaving the church to do a burn out. The only reason it rained was because YOU washed YOUR vette
It got washed on the way to the church!

I'm actually surprised that nobody did a burnout.

Did the new wife get to go on your Delaware crab trip feast last month?
Yeah she went even though she is highly allergic to seafood.

What are you talking about, she just got a red one

As my wife says to me: What's mine is mine, and what's yours is mine. I think there's some flawed rationale in there somewhere.....

Matthew

Yeah my wife says that too, but both my vettes only have my name on the title..

Congrats Frank!!

you still have the 93 and 95 right?
Still have both.

Bill, she wants to trade her Mustang in for a C6, but I said not yet.

Where in FL and why wasn't I notified?
I'm in Orlando for the Panama Canal Reunion.

My brother lives in Tampa, so I visit there usually once or twice a year.

I just happen to be headed for FLA in a few hours, so the money will be spent(except what I took out to pay for dinner that night and the other expenses).

Yeah looks like he's parked backwards in a angled spot too, I think that's another ticket.

I'm gonna put "Just Married" on my windows when I park illegally from now on.
I believe that spot was reserved for clergy.

Nobody did any burnouts that day, I was shocked.

Thanks!

It actually rained like a bitch before I got there and my wipers weren't working.

Then right after we got to the reception it poured!

Was a pretty good day though.

Very cool. I bet you had a little crowd around you at that point.

Good thing you weren't betting nickels!
Actually right after I won, the wife said to cash out and not look back. We went and found her parents at the nickel slots, so I threw in $5 and won another $20 right there, so I cashed it out and called it a night.
