Thanks guys, the interior is next. Headliner first so I can put the windshields back in. Interior will be black and red. Going to keep it a Poly V8 I have another 58 Poly that is going to end up a 402 cu inch stroker with dual quads. Should make 400 horsepower and not be obnoxious.

When you have no tools or JUNK tools changing spark plugs can be an all day job. Quality tools make a HUGE difference. My LT1 never gave me anything to whine about ran like stink.

I sold the Corvette to help pay for this project. It's been fun and been a little over a year so far.

Will pull away from a redlight and smoke the little white walls like crazy Car gets crazy amounts of attention and thumbs up etc. I love the thing, gonna paint it bright red with a white top. Will take lots of work, will have to block this thing lots lol

it's a 318 Poly you have to workover a 360 crank to fit this bad boy. Lots of the later 318 stuff is interchangeable, intakes are not, have to have cam ground for her. Oh it will stay a manual trans on the column. I think that kicks ass I will rebuild the 318 Poly in her add the dual quad intake hotter cam, she'll motorvate good enough. I want to keep the Poly in her and 3 speed has overdrive in this sucker

oh, yea... forgot that detail... those were stout little motors.

The OD, is that the electric thing? Laycock d'Normanville?

OVERDRIVE VIA CABLE ? No clue how that works

This is the best part of the car hobby. Finding a neat old ride, that the high-dollar guys ignore, but is still so super cool, that everyone will get a smile from it.

Talk about a win-win.

I would add some trick Cragar SS mags to it... you know the old school 5 spokes. With a ride that big, I would consider a 16"x8". Really fill in those wheel wells. Would super pop against the red/white two tone.

Resized Image

Those would rock.

As for the motor, there are some kick-ass 360 based crates available. This is vs cutting up a nice original 318, that is.

I would leave it a manual... if the tree gets icky, you can always do a floor conversion, and if the three speed packs it up, get a nice 5 spd for it. But keep the manual. In fact, I would consider the 5spd floor shifter now, and preserve the original 3spd.

Oh she is staying a manual trans on the column. It has a set of full hubcaps I will probably run those. The wide whites are newer cokers and those are staying. Love that look. I haven't been this excited over a car in forever if ever.

Will be red with white top "Christine" Nothing too wild with the engine, rebuild 318 maybe cut a 360 crank to fit her and mild cam and dual quads. Would like to get 350 horsepower out of her. Body is staying on frame, she has disc brakes on the front already I have her on uship now getting quotes to get her home. Mailed check today

I've been looking on E-bay for years lol Literally always looking for a solid one all in one piece that runs and drives. They are usually MINT restored and waaaay out of my price range though. She is from Gerogia and was on E-bay I won her yesterday. Winning bid with 10 seconds left. Whew that made me sooo nervous. She has a 318 with a 3 speed manual trans, 3 on the tree

Does it matter ? You can twist any religion anyway you like to dehumanize large groups of people. Freedom of religion should include freedom from religion. There are many that have a very difficult time understanding that simple concept.

There are lots of assholes in this world, lots of people who I would personally like to kick square in the fucking ass. Their sexual preference however is never a motivating factor. I personally find over the top gay men comical, not threatening to myself or my way of life. Thta's my .02 anyways John

But they are well built and very durable. I remember during the snows in the late 70s, the Bug was the only car that could make it... it started, which nothing else would do and had traction to move!

I suspect the car is worth more than $9k... Once fixed, I would ask more like $15k and work down.

It's hard to believe how slow it is, I had a guy the other day go around me and he was ranting as he passed me. All I could do was laugh as the little bug was doing the best it could without flogging it anyways... It's all sorted now, I got 5000.00 in the car 600.00 shipping it to Ohio and 400.00 in repairs $15K I would feel sooo greedy I figured ask 10K sell it for 9K qucikly and I'll have pictures and a couple cool memories of owning a beetle. I now know a little something about them too which is cool.
I love cars...

So if the average teacher ONLY MAKES 40K that's not bad working HALF THE FUCKING YEAR...... 180 days is the average.
I don't want to do the job however 40K for 180 days no weekends or Holidays with benefits doesn't sound bad.I'm sure theres something better to cut like feeding the convicted murderers and pedophiles etc....

I bought it to sell it, as I got it for a great price just needed some sorting. Valves adjusted, timing set correctly, a new carb a new fuel pump the right plugs... The motor was rebuilt however the p.o. got it uhm how do you say WRONG... He had 8lbs of fuel pressure running into the little 1 barrle carb. I got it all sorted and man is it fun. Just thought I would share.

Oh yeah 1970/4 speed and it is for sale $9K SHOWS 20K miles

Thanks, I just ordered a new hose kit from Zip. I've only had the car a week, trying to get it all sorted out. I will change the hoses one at a time, hopefully that fixes this mess. They open up o.k. just won't go down, they went down once, revved it up and they went down. They won't now though.... Oh well it's January gives me something to do.

Okay so I bought a 1980 Corvette and like alot of old cars it has it's issues. The headlights would not go up. I found a disconnected vacuum line, reconnected it and tadah they rise... Now they won't go down.... WTF turn the car off turn the headlight switch off and they stay up..... Found the goofy thing under the dash override switch. I pulled it pushed it tried it fifteen different times and nothing. I can grasp them not rising but not closing doesn't makes sense to me. HELP !!! I would like to have it ready by spring..
