Remove X-brace, clean up and replace pesky stripped "nutsert" fasteners.
Remove exhaust, repair leaky welds, clean up and paint.
Remove logos from new exhaust tips and install.
Recalibrate governor by adding 1 step heavier weight to hopefully lower WOT upshift a couple hundred rpm's.
Change trans filter and fluid.
Detail undercarriage.

Nice work ! I have a new to me 1980 that is giving me plenty to do. Goofy vacuum headlights being just one of several things to do. The C4 needs the nitrous bottle filled and maybe a claybar and detail...

Nice work so far, Joe. Did you already adjust the governor springs/weights once before? That's still on my list and I've been casually looking at kits.

Looks awesome as usual Joe!

This winter I'm working on my trans, I rebuilt it, just got my torque conveter back. So hopefully sometime in the next couple weeks I'll bring the car back up here and install it..

No, the 1-2 WOT shift was at about 5800. I am hoping to get it down to 5500 since H.P. peaks at 5k.
The stock gov. has two weights weighing 10.5 grams each and the springs are equiv. to the B&M gov. kit springs green and orange.
I replaced one weight with the #2 B&M weight weighing 14gm. (3.5gm heavier) on the stiffer spring per my research mostly on TGO.
I hope it works out because access will be severely limited with the exhaust and X-brace back on.

If you leave the bubble wrap on the exhaust it will help quiet it down
