I'm starting to replace some interior trim/parts. I have looked at Ecklers but was wondering if you guys have another source for parts. Thanks.

Most of them all come from the same manufacturer, whoever bought the molds and is reproducing them and distributed to the various catalogs.
Prices are all over the place Ecklers is ok, and Corvette Central. Mid America is usually higher priced. Also look at TLD and Zip. |

Ecklers can be a pain in the ass.
Mid America is OK Corvette Central is OK but tends to have backorders. Zip - will tell you if the part is in stock. Used parts than you could color match, etc. vette2vette.com |

What are you replacing? Many of the larger plastic pieces can be glued/sanded and repainted with SEM interior paint.

Here is the punchline... Ecklers is the one that has historically bought the moulds. Seriously.
Their quality is good, no worse than OEM... but for later cars, they don't do the dulcote finish. Another option with your existing panels would be hydrocarbon. It's a water transfer coating that looks like carbon fibre or other things. Our own fellow Guru, Arisa, was staring up a biz to do this, but I haven't heard from him in a while (just dropped him a note). Another option is http://www.carboncorvette.com/ All I can say is the next Corvette owner that bitches about the "fast and furious" kids, will get slapped. There is another company that fixes Ferrari panels, http://www.stickynomore.com/ I have spoken to him, and his refinishing process looks nice. My concern with interior paints is getting a smooth even finish. |

First thing is to replace that center console cover/lid. Research shows me new covers with a light. The original does not have a light.
Also the top plastic trim piece that is just behind and on the top of the front windshield and extends across from passenger to driver. Lastly, the sun visors. Thanks for your inputs!!!! |

There is a company who finally started making replacement visors for a reasonable cost. I'll get the name later.

I would like to find a new black center consul for my 91. There are a few flaws on mine, the wiring for the light is lose so the light flickers and the the rubber top doesn't fit right.
Anyone know where to get an original for a the best price? |

You mentioned the replacement visors. When I ordered my replacement the passenger side had a manual switch but my OEM one had an auto plunge switch(like a refrigerator)on the right hand side that turned it off when closed. My wife left it on with the new one and drained the battery :-(

Manual Switch. I also have a habit of leaving switches in the on position.

Nope. Looks like it was actually made in 1984 and they made 51,000. Mine is in the 45,000 so a late model.
