I live in Los Angeles I want a performance tire that will last. Thinking about - g-Force T/A KDW 2 - I think that is what Andy is running... But since I rarely see rain and never snow, it may not be the best pick, plus at a 300 aaa it may not be that sticky.

http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires.j ... e=BFGoodrich&tireModel=g- Force+T%2FA+KDW+2&partnum=74YR7GFTAKDW2&vehicleSearch=true&fromCompare1=yes&autoMake=Chevrolet&autoYear=1991&autoModel=Corvette&autoModClar=

But I am also interested in these: Sumitomo HTR Z they are a 160AA Should be a little stickier. But I am open to all types of suggestions.

Thanks for any advice...

Ken

The center console - Has anyone replaces the wiring to the light? Is there anything I should know before trying to take it all apart?

And what is the best way or glue to attach the separation on the hinge side that seems to be a problem on these cars?

Gorilla epoxy and then wrap the whole thing in tape to hold it tight until it dries?

Thanks so much...

Bogus - The motor seems to be working. It's making a grinding sound. I may try (J3Studio's idea) closing to the door with the Window motor on... My fear is that I won't be able to get the window up again. But that you would mean that the window is off the track. I was rattling a lot in a midway position before this happened. Is worth trying the slamming and if that doesn't work should I buy the regulator before taking off the door? How hard is the Door Panel Removal?

In my 1991 C4 the window is now stuck up, thankfully better than can't getting it up.

The motor is running and makes a clicking rumbling sound, but the window won't move.

My question is... should buy a new window regulator before I take off the door panels? It's about $279 http://www.parts123.com/parts123/yb.d ... 35a~Z5Z5Z5~Z5Z5Z50000050F

Or since the motor is still working is it possible that the window fell off the track somehow and I can make it work again?

The other question is - Are the other parts that I should replace outer weather stripping and felt guides or such since the panel will be off?

- Any help is greatly appreciated - yes I know about the innuendo at the top, no need to make jokes.. I did it for you.

If you know a good service place in LA area that may just be the best, because it may too hard a job for me. But I just don't trust any mechanic to be as careful as I am -

Thanks,

Ken

I would like to find a new black center consul for my 91. There are a few flaws on mine, the wiring for the light is lose so the light flickers and the the rubber top doesn't fit right.
Anyone know where to get an original for a the best price?

forgive me, for my ignorance - but why would you want to disable the low tire sensors?

Thanks, I ended up taking it to shop to replace the alternator. I saved mine - how do I tell if it's the original? If it is, I will have it rebuild and Astro Electric. When I tried to replace it, I cut my wrist and hands... they should have a lot of sharp edges under the hood of my 91 Vette. It may have easier with the right tools. But I gave up and towed it to a shop... grrrr....

My Alternator died... I was stuck and didn't want to wait for shipping so I got this one for 95 bucks.... Did I make a mistake? Should I order a really great one as a back-up and what kind should I get?

1991 C4

I thought it would be simple to replace.... I found it to be a huge pain!

Front window fogging - cause?

My window fogs up from air coming the de-fogger vent. I would think it's a broken heater core but I don't see any leaks. OR It this a normal issue with the C-4?

Or is there something I can do?

I can run the defogger on my heater pannel and clears but it's still strange... and annoying.

It is supposed to be under the glove box... I dug around in there and couldn't find it... No it's not on the the side when you open the passenger door.

Thanks to anyone that can help me..... ANd if it's not the fuse what's next?
