ol girls been runnin great (84 xfire doug nash) now maybe yesterday it may felt funny but couldnt pin anything down..today seems fine,,changed oil..then went to fire it up n she started n quit..hit key again starts n quit..hit again n touched gas n ran fine idled fine etc..shut down n restarted couple times n fine (hoped jus a fluke)gits cleaned up n head out n she starts n idles down 500 n quits (start n quit mo less) hit key again n touched gas as fired n fine no stumble bog idles at 8 (aways has) alls fine..well cant be er wouldnt have done that...looked at sum vac lines..shes too hot..any a yous cats dealt wid my issue??? yea fuel filter plugs etc..but anythin else anyone had like this..thanks fer any heads up..paps..maybe ifn i rub the fendar three times itll cure it heyhuh..oil change was real basic no muss no fuss ..but..thats when this started.. but when went out she ran fine evin a tiny bit of spirited n she were cool..back home fired right up..hot..we ll see after cools..

now seems ta me she been startin a lil harder lately too..used ta pop right off n lately seems takes a few spins..my haynes sez dont fug wid pressure reg under any reason..yet i see in napa they have a kit fer em..how many evo used em ,,sez front is fuel meter n rear is fuel pressure..mebee a cat jus buy rear gaskets (fer pressure reg0 n wip it in n mebee fix it ??? have had a few rigs n helped friends when start hard..but were pressure regs n aways just a fuel line n vac line n bolt n done...would hafta be a pia heyhuh..er am i way out there..go ahead fellas tell me its jus a lil this er that..please!!!

Sorry Pappy without more info the only thing I might suggest is new plugs & wires. Time to do some testing to see what ails the old girl. I don't know squat about crossfires but have heard the throttle bodies can get out of adjustment and cause problems. Good luck!

my issue wid it ,,is hard start cold er warm ifn has sat a bit..like loose fuel pressure..yet once runnin she fine..my stupid haynes ony describes pressure nawt wud holds it..like a pressure reg..or is the fuel pump posed to hold the pressure once engine is off,,if this is true ,,then my pump is junque..thats ok ill figure it out ,,jus thought sum bruthas would help out snot!!! wahahaha still have me humor....fuggan grumpy yea mabee its early,,jus sick of cheeyut from snots sum times..cc wud the fug one day yer helpfull next ya jump on the fug him band wagon..any a yous tell me in person got the balls..again thanks other cats preciate it..sarry to rest i kinda thought we were friendlys here

Pappy, do you have the factory service manual for your car? If so check on the reason of losing fuel pressure. If not try Google, it might be able to come up with something for you. It does sound like pressure is going away but I have never had any experience with that so I'm not much help am I.
As for the shit dealers, it does seem like more & more of it is happening here, I was hoping those attitudes would stay with the Corvette Forum. You are who you are, no need to defend that and it really shouldn't be a factor here anyway.

i rekon a couple awready have thanks dudes... 85 mo help then youll know brutha.. i ony have a haynes,, ill git er done,,,jus thought er hoped fer a quick,, hey that happind ta me type answer..fer sure fuel pump runs when hit key..bout 10-15 (dint time)seconds then off...but this morn she popped right off..mebee i r a lil too critical...but yesterday ..she fer chure started n quit twice after oil change..mebee answerd by no oil pressure no fuel relay? but then seemed take mo spins ta start..critical (has ta be right)i dont give on typin but a engine has ta tick proper ol hog lawnmower er vet...rekon i check the plugs(guilty was tol new when bought) ill pull couple easy ones n ave a look..thanks bros..ya just made my fuggan day n this site a lil better(which i aways thought it was)

well rednecks n nitpeckars wahahahaha sarry,,,well seems car starts fine now..since oil pressure runs fuel relay ,,mabee started with low pressure at oil change (thats when car started n quit) n then started hard after that...yet now fine..mabee relay kicked out explainin the start n quittin after oil change..then mabee relay dint click in right ???ony guessin,,but seems fine..so went nuthar direction n werkd on squeekee truck brake..finally found it to be rear wheel emergency brake hung up a tad..madie it sound like a brake squeeler ,,but pads r new..ok nuthar saga of life wid theadore.. next is stereo n speakers..mattmayun i r gonna lookin fer you ...read yer article..anyways thanks fer those that helped peace

ok after readin my fsm(thanks bog) i rekon my idjut geuss would be (at oil change) pump pressure was low thus nawt startin fuel pump relay er pump..start n quit start n quit pump then started cause of the 4 er over lbs pressure n then relay kicked in a started werkin again n alls been fine..beginin of a failin relay???prolly dint say it right but i kin dig it...still need ta check plugs n fuel filter,,,yea i rekon ive typed that 10 times so far..but hey i hadda go fer a putt ,,n front on ol chop seemed stiff ,,so hadda drop front off n pull spacers outta my tubes ,,as ta softin the spring rate a bit..oh n i wip on a wimpsheild ony cause the bugs r gittun real think this time a yr n werent that tasty ...
