I was just reading another post on IACs and
it sounds as if you guys are familiar with taking them out.
I'v tried to do it, but I don't wanna bust up the housing
or anything else. It seems pretty tight in there. How do you guys do it?

It's really not that hard... it is tight, but if you put a socket on it, and use an extention, with a ratchet.

Give it a good whack and it will come off.

If you run into issues, removing the TB will help. And really, it won't hurt. I mean, the inside of the TB gets all gnarly anyway.

I use a large crescent wrench. It can stick pretty good the first time, so not a bad idea to pull the TB to get at it better. You're 4 bolts and two clips away.

Pull TB get a FelPro gasket kit. Clean and replace all the gaskets in TB. Perfect time to clean TB and Plenum. Check IAC connector carefully/mine was brittle and connector was cracked. Reset Trottle Positioning Sensor@ .525 @ Idle.with voltmeter. Inspect and clean IAC. Do not soak motor section of IAC. Haynes Manual preset pintle @ 1 1/8" from gasket to tip of pintle. Hope this helps.. Ron

Thanks Ron, it does help. Do you have a part # for the Felpro gaskets?
