I am kinda with Matthew on this one.
Haiti is an absolute cesspool of curruption and poverty. They haven't been able to get themselves out of the pit forever. When the quake hit, the media has been talking about all these homeless people... yea, how many were homeless before the quake? Fights and riots at relief centers? uh... ok... they needed the centers BEFORE the quake. Verizon was offering free phone calls to Haiti... hm... They have phones? And after the quake, how many are still working? |

You are so right. They will take our money, rebuild their damn palace with the millions and the people will still be in the same deplorable buildings and hut before the quake. A waste of time money and resource to a corrupt nation of illiterate natives that think they are civilized.

I totally agree with you guys. I'm tired of hearing about it. Did other countries send money to the families of the folks killed in the 911 attacks on America? Hell no. We got people in this country who have real issues who need the help. I just can't understand that every time a tragic event outside the US happens that we have to be the first on the scene and spend the most to help. Help us first!
