...or was the Peanuts Christmas special THAT influential.

The reason I ask... every time I see a TV commercial with children, the 6-8 year olds have the same tonal inflections and delivery quality of the kids that voiced the Peanuts special all those years ago.

If I am right, I suspect that there is a subtle reason. How else to capture the attention of baby-boomers and GenX's than to emulate those voices?

I noticed some of the pitch girls look like they all graduated from the same broadcasting school with their inflection, head nods, eye movements and delivery style. The Charlie Brown/Peanut specials were a little after my time to catch my interest so I really don't know what the hell your talking about.
