Steve40th Oil Temps with AC on, whats yours?

While doing a long cruise around Oahu I noticed with AC on in stop and go traffic, my oil temps get to 230 real quick.
Now, I have BeCool radiator, and fan temps come on at 185/190 respectfully. With AC on I think they both come on.
Radiator is clean, nothing in front of it.
Temps were 90 degrees F out here.
Water temps were getting to 220 also.
This is pretty normal for my vette with 396, 2800 rpm stall and 3.75 gears. I run Mobil 1 5w 30.
Should I be concerned? My tune is set up to run leaner during cruising, as its set to 15.1 AFR vice 14.7.
Let me know what you think about the heat being incurred.

Sounds normal to me. Mine runs about 20* hotter than the water
temperature most of the time. Its about as hot here, but not
nearly as pretty.

Last month with the humidty in the 90% range and temps near 98 with heat index of 105 my 87 oil temps hit 235 with the air on in traffic. I think thats the highest it ever been. Lowered to 210 once I was moving again. Your Ok.

I wouldn't be very concerned with Mobil 1 at that temp. I think my gauge reads low but I can see 225 in traffic.

Like Ron, I think you're OK.

BTW, I can get to 220 water in 5-6 longer red lights. And going up a mountain road behind cars, I hit 215 in about 2 minutes.

Ya know, with the a/c on, your water temps should come down. Do your fan(s) come on when you hit a/c ?

I just have them turn on 185/ first fan and 190 second fan. Its hot under that hood, and being a bottom feeder car here in hawaii it is damn hot. I need to measure pavement temp with my laser temp sensor.
