My 87 had dry rot on the Goodyears. Told the Mrs. that 17" tires and wheels make more sense than buying 16" tires, (besides, I'm not fond of the stock wheels.). She signed up for it.
Called AFS today, gave them my CC #, they said they'd ship today. 4 Kumho tires, 275/40/17, 4 17x9.5 chrome ZR1s with early C4 offset. Total price $970, shipped.

I'm stoked. Pics will follow as soon as possible.

Can't wait to see how it looks. I think a set of red GS hash marks would look sharp too!

Seems pretty reasonable in $$. (About $200.00 less than I paid for my KS EVO-Zs from AFS).

Hope they meet your expectations.

I can do them for free in crayon. Felt tip marker costs extra.

I researched the Kumhos and they seem like they should be ok. They don't go well in snow... go figure.
Tirerack had the tire rated 17 out of 44 tires. It's only a "W" rated, but I don't think I'll be going over 168mph! They dinged it hardest for treadwear and ride comfort.

I think they will fit my needs, but there is only one way to find out... put them on and drive!

I didn't think you were allowed to mess with anything other than finger paint?!

I have seen other scenes from The Holy Grail done with Legos. That's amazing! Almost like Legos were MADE for recreating the movie! Outstanding! Thanks for posting that.

Called AFS with my cc # last Friday. The wheels got here today. Not bad. They are beautiful. Unboxed them and found the lugs weren't included as promised. These are the lugs they threw in for free. Since it was an add in, it's understandable it got overlooked. So, I called them up, and they were very friendly, even promised to ship the lugs priority mail to get them here in 2 business days! Since it will be cold and snowy here starting tomorrow, it won't be an issue. I guess it means a few more coats of wax on the wheels.

They really are as advertised, great wheels.

If the lugs were here, the wheels would be on the car.
Just as well, I can take my time polishing them.
I already have my "before" pics in the parts section trying to sell my old wheels.
