cant seem to find one. i know could try rotating my current one 180deg, but i kind of broke the connector on it and the
wire is held on there w/a zip tie, so i might as well replace it.the p/n is #25007308.

you may want to call Chris May @ Superior Chevy, 1.800.728.8267.

Tell him I sent you.

Recall they are long discontinued.

White Racing have the correct part # VSS listed but state it is for '90+ cars which had 4000 pulse VSS; not 2000 pulse like earlier TPI cars

I was lucky and was able to find an aftermarket one on ebay when I broke mine - here are some cross list part numbers if there are any floating around. As far as I know, though, most companies have discontinued them totally, so it would be old stock if you were lucky enough to find one:

GM #25007308
Tomco #31018
Standard Motor Products #SC8
KEM #163-416
Filko #SCS-2
GP Sorenson #779-9506
Guaranteed Parts #779-9506
Niehoff #DR1028

I have read about using a newer style 91-93 corvette sensor and splicing in a new pigtail. Supposedly guys have done this and it worked. I cannot comment on the effectiveness.

According to the Standard Motor Products website, their part number is SC51 (for auto trans):

Chevrolet Corvette (93-91)

Connector Gender Female
Number of Electrical Connectors 1
Number of Terminals 2
Product Features & Benefits Fit, Form & Function are the Same as O.E.
Terminal Gender Male
Terminal Type Blade
Warranty Covered for 90 Days Or 3,000 Miles (Whichever Occurs First)

As far as I know, this would be the harness from ecklers - you can probably find it elsewhere, too:

http://www.ecklers.com/corvette-vehic ... ?crosssell=Product_Upsell

Of course, I can't verify this information above, it's just something for you to start with.

You can try contacting these guys, they sell a ton of trans stuff and are knowledgeable:

Good luck,

Matthew

Rod is correct about the pulses...I'm not sure how that factors in with what I posted...like I said, I've never done it. From reading about trans swaps in other cars, there is some type of buffer or DRAC box (I'm not familiar with this stuff, I'm just relaying what I've read) that converts the signals for the ECM. Something like that might be necessary.

Here's another website that I've hear people recommend:

http://www.speedometersolutions.com/

Here's some info on the VSS sine wave stuff:

http://www.jagsthatrun.com/V8-chapters/V8-tpi-Speed-Sensors.pdf

Again good luck,

Matthew
