Spent almost all last night playing GT5 on my PS3. I got my garage full of all the Corvettes.

*69 Stingray
*85 Corvette
*63 Split Window
*96 GS
*2004 Z06
*2010 Z06
*2010 ZR1 Race Modified

The graphics and car physics are incredible. The detail and inside shots of the cars are very accurate. The look behind the wheel of the 69 when I'm driving cracks me up because it looks so familiar.

My favorite car however is not a Corvette as I'm ashamed to say. It's the Lamborghini Murcielago Superveloce LP670-4. I would love to drop the hammer on one of those for real!

Yes, boring weekend. Still too much snow!

I remember when your 2 car garage was full of Corvettes, then you sold one.

Thanks Bill for reminding me. I now have to live vicariously through a video game! I do still have one left and that one is not going anywhere.

Better not, it's too purdy.

Now, you need another one to take to a real track, PS3 has no G-forces.

You have to hit left right left right up down up down while leaning to left then leaning to the right.

I'll have to look again. It might be an 83.

I'm not a computer gamer, although I bought the wife a Wii last year which has hardly been used, but I have wanted to explore the Playstation using racing games like Gran Turismo. Do you need a steering wheel and pedals etc? or can you effectively use a handheld controller? How much does a rig like this cost?

Ya Don you can squeeze that in between working on the boat, car and club obligations.

I have seen some screen captures from GT5... the images made me do a double take - real? Virtual?

Insane realism. Just insane.

This is why I don't need to own a PS3... I would never leave the house.

You're implying you leave the house currently?

I went on-line last night in a Corvettes only group and it was a blast. Raced at Daytona and Laguna Seca. My C4 did better than the new ZR1. No matter how I set up the ZR1, I couldn't get the power to the pavement. Fun game. I can't wait for spring so I can actually enjoy a real Corvette!

Don, PS3 are not too bad. I just got a new 160GB PS3 for $299. I tried the steering wheel but it just isn't worth it. The hand held controllers work fine. If you have HD tv then using an HDMI cable with the PS3 is the only way to go.
