Is there some place I can find a diagram to show me where a couple of brackets go? Sorry if this seems goofy, but I have one that I can't for the life of me figure out where it goes. I can find exploded diagrams of everything else...

There's one that's mainly in question, I don't have it here to show you a photo, but it looks like a hose support or something. It's all metal, 90 degree bend with a part that looks like where a hose would rest on or up against. That help?

Is it this one (the U-shaped bracket that is behind the power steering reservoir)?

nope, not that one, and it's not the one on behind the power steering reservoir, the plug wire brackets and alternator, etc are accounted for. It really looks like there's an obvious spot, but I'm blonde.... soooooo......

I guess one left over part wont hurt?
(yes, it's a '96)

Does it look like the bracket in the pictures in this thread?: http://forums.corvetteforum.com/c4-te ... anyone-identify-this.html

If so, the explanation of what it is / where it goes is in the thread.

Glad to help. I ran into the very same situation after my mechanic replaced the intake gaskets on my '92. Found it in the windshield wiper gutter a few days later and couldn't figure it out.

I believe it clamps over the wiring harness at the very back of the passenger side intake manifold. That flange appears to be a heat shield that keeps the steam pipe separated from everything else.
