My friend's '59 Caddy custom only brought $82K at B-J Saturday night, I heard. About half of what he was hoping for. Major league bath he took on that.

Customs and resto-mods are an unknown at auction.

It requires three people with the same vision - the builder and two rich bidders. Otherwise, this is what happens.

There is no guarantee that people will like what you like. And baths are more common than not.
