I headed over to Rosemont Tire today to get my new BFGoodrich g-Force Sport COMP-2 255/50ZR-16 tires mounted and balanced.

These are the first name brand street tires available in this size since the previous generation of this tire disappeared from stock some time in 2010.

I enclose two pictures for those who might be interested:

1) A side view so you can see how Lauren sits with them.

2) A view of the tread pattern.

Not a lot of miles yet. A little louder than the Goodyear HP Ultras (which makes sense) but very well controlled. Tons of grip. No change in ride characteristics - still feels like truck.

I've always been happy with BFG tires. I had the classic Comp T/A on the vette when it was still street driven, and used multiple versions of the g-force KDW on the M3.

THe C6 has some crappy Toyos, when they're done I will probably go back to BFG's.

Thanks for the review!

That's "still feels like a truck." In case any of you were wondering if I can still write in English.

Tire Rack is selling them for $155 each - not amazingly cheap, but certainly not C5 or C6 tire money either.
