Steve, the roller rockers will work with non-roller cams, no problem. Perhaps you should consider the 1.6 ratio rockers though, as they provide extra 'lift' and ~very~ slight increase in duration. Both will fit your valve cover...although the 1.6 ratio ~may~ require you to remove the oil deflector tabs inside the valve cover ~depending if you have them~.
Stock VC's allow the height required for 1.5 & 1.6 rockers...perhaps even 1.7 ratios would work....but I don't know. David (Eng Doc) would know for sure. |

I have a set like those on my '86 - non roller cam. I
trimmed the oil drippers in the valve covers just in case they might touch. I am a bit quicker in the 1/8th mile, but it may be my launch skills are improving. Worth it, get them. |

I have comp camps 1.52 roller tip rockers with edelbrock valve covers and there are no clearance issues.
