Read the story... but I suspect the $71k is for a fully loaded Stingray... Not the base model.

I am about tired of the damned taillight discussions. If that's all people can pick on, well, pick away... I don't care...

The last I read was putting the base at about $52k.

Someone on another forum was all bent out of shape that the roadster was going to cost 5K more then the coupe. His line of thinking was they were engineered from the beginning to run both roadster and coupe so they should cost the same. He went on to say the C2's were priced the same and Roadsters out sold the coupes back in the day.

Made sense to me.........

The word I had was a base price of $56k

The estimated prize value of $72k makes sense for a fully trimmed Z51 with MR shocks and full-zoot interior.

Yes, Detroit's College for Creative Studies - very nice and a community well deserving. According to the sidebar I read he also bought the Owens/Corning 1968 race car - $1.1 million along with a couple of other notibles like Guy Fieri's custom convertible.

I read that aftermarket companies and tuners might have a tough time coming up with mods for the C7 LT1s. They are quite sophisticated as they stand. I am sure though that GM has already designed power upgrades for the future.
