I need a little help with electric fans. 1996 LT-4.
I remember back a while ago about someone going the junk yard and getting ford electric fans as a replacement for a C-4. One of my fans is starting to make noise so I was looking to upgrade the electric fans. If that is not feasible, recommendations on replacing the fan motors.

by 1996, the C4 had REALLY good fans... both are electric.

If they are making noise, it's because the fan motor itself has quit. All you need to do is replace the bad motor(s).

Rockauto.com has ACDelco, Part # 158404, for $62.89 each.

If you go to a salvage yard, here is the crossref:

CADILLAC DEVILLE (1994 - 1995)
CADILLAC ELDORADO (1989 - 1993)
CADILLAC SEVILLE (1989 - 1993)
CHEVROLET CAMARO (1996 - 2002)
CHEVROLET CORVETTE (1990 - 2004)
OLDSMOBILE TORONADO (1990 - 1992)
PONTIAC FIREBIRD (1996 - 2002)

The Ford retrofit is when you are dealing with an early C4 with 1 fan.

oh, don't be... I cut/paste that table from Rockauto.

Yea, the rest I knew... but the crossreference is just good interweb research.

It is not a direct swap and would involve modification. I would go with oem as an easy replacement. If you are looking for better flow, consider a SPAL which is high quality, but will also require some modification to mount it.
