Vette has an automatic 3 speed with overdrive. What is the (approx) rpm's I should be shifting in to Overdrive?

varies with throttle position. In general, it will drop into OD at about 25mph under light throttle.

Lowest mine would is 33mph then after a tune, cam, intake, blah blah blah is 42mph

The stock corvette 700r4 is a 4 speed transmission with overdrive and a lock up torque converter.

You don't have to be shifting at a specific rpm. It depends on usage. Do you have a shift kit to drive it as a manual valve body or is it stock and you just run through the gears?

No, I have always put the car in "D" when driving around town and "D with a circle around it" when freeway driving. Sooo I shift up into overdrive when getting onto the freeway. The car seems to bog down if I put it into overdrive when driving in the city.

You are also dealing with the common complaint of the convertor locking up at part throttle, lower road speeds pulling the revs down by 2-300 rpm.

You can add a simple ground switch in line with the brake pedal switch to the trans to trick the trans into thinking the brake is on, thus unlocking the converter. This way you can use 4th gear around town without the converter locking and in essence use od with the converter locked as a fifth gear.
