I had to replace my lower fender on the drivers side. The only one I could find was a black one. I bought it and painted it arctic white. I already knew my car had a new paint job. Now I know it's not arctic white.

Interesting. I had my 90 painted at the Chevy dealer a few years back. Artic White. It looks more like the top one than the bottom. Maybe a paint brand difference? |

Might have to have a paint shop match it. That sucks.

By itself it looks as it will match. Its when I put it next to the car it looks darker. There is a section of original white when I lift the hood by the windshield, and this panel matches it. You cannot see the shine in the picture, but it looks good. This is a rattle can job, so I only have $10 in it so far. I have a friend at a local body shop that will be able to match it.

So, which was Artic Tyler? The can or the car?
Sidenote: If you want to paint a body part with a rattle can, you can get 2 part urethane car colors in rattle cans (much more chip resistant than regular paint). The cans have a container of urethane activator inside them that gets pierced to let the activator mix with the paint. They run about $15 per can. |

O'Reilly's. I called the previous owner, he told me he only had the hood and one of the doors painted. This means the Arctic White is the correct color. I brought the panel in to take a picture by itself. I noticed the front flange where there isn't any clear is not as dark. I have resanded it and will put another coat of paint on it tonight, and compare the color before I put any clear on. |

Dupli Color has a guarantee, and will either refund or replace. I am taking the passenger side panel in tomorrow to get it matched.
