If I was to replace the Black Tag and clutch, flywheel, etc
in my 92 to a blue tag would I need to order clutch, flywheel, and what other parts?
Would I just order parts as if I had a 94 instead of a 92?

Any issues changing to the blue tag?

In 2 years if I decide to have the black tag rebuilt what will I need to replace to swap the black tag back in?

Why am I asking?
2nd gear is a sometimes proposition and the clutch is starting to slip and I have over 100K on the original clutch. I can get a new blue tag for 1100 + shipping, just wondering if its worth it with all the changes that I don't know about.

Thanks in advance!

the teeth are cut a little less straight on the blue tag making it quieter than the black. Other than that they are the same.

Actually, I am pretty sure that the Throw Out Bearing ID is the only difference, larger ID on the Black tag, .062" diameter smaller on the Blue Tag due to the smaller input shaft OD.

You say it is slipping so it sounds like you need a new Clutch pkg.

But if you need a new clutch, then order a 94-96 clutch pkg,,, the Bell Housing is dimensionally the same and you would use your same model year Flywheel.

Others should chime in soon as well.

Yes you need to use the smaller blue tag throwout bearing. You can identify it by the plastic liner inside it. AC-Delco is the only one who has it available seperately, about $80 at Rockauto.com.

Everyone else packages it with the clutch set. But since you're in there you may wanna do the whole clutch anyways.

You could also keep your clutch as-is and try swapping the larger black tag trans input snout onto your blue tag trans, but the bolts are damn tight and some of them were wanting to strip out on my used trans.

The black tag is a little stronger, and a little noisier, I've run both in my car this year. Although if you retain the dual mass flywheel you shouldn't make much if any noise.
