MPH reads 0 at any speed. The 90 is obviously rebelling for not using it on a regular basis. Possible issues that may cause this? Another issue is it stalls out on deceleration. I put in some fresh fuel and have to run it a bit to see if it continues. It idles on start/restart and accelerates fine. Any thoughts are welcome.

Speedo sensor on left side of the transmission is one possibility and one I'm leaning to. Worth a look. |

My first guess would be vehicle speed sensor that you mentioned. The car will throw a code for a bad VSS.
Stalling on decel could be the IAC or several other things. I would check for codes first. |

I agree.
The VSS is my first guess, and it might be why it's stalling. The controller does not know vehicle speed... things get complicated by cause and effect in the ECM. |

Pluck the speedo sensor out, and shine a light into the speedo gears. I see more gear failures than sensor failures.

If you have the VSS pulled out, use a cordless drill to drive it and see if you get a reading on your dashboard. |

I like the gears solution a lot... they are only plastic.
Great to see you back, Pete! |
